I just don't understand how liberals can be so ignorant about this subject.

It seems to be in our nature to kill each other and our selves. Do you think we will nuke our selves, or will some other natural disaster wipe us out?
It is making me sick reading the news about murder, death, destruction.

I just want to understand if this idea of self-improvement through belief would stand on its own sans god.

If you ask belief in what I will say belief that people should not closely associate with people who think differently from them.
Belief that servants should loyally obey their masters.
Beliefs of this nature.

Why do you put Jesus before God? Your bible says that God forbids you to put anyone before Him yet you put Jesus before God because Jesus says that no one can know God except through him. Jesus doesn't say that he's God, so why do you put him in God's place? Exodus 20:3

Will you become disappointed if Jesus isn't God? "You have become weak like us." Isaiah 14:10

Can the type of Christian that comes here to YA! create enough positive Karma to keep themselves out of a Buddhist Hell?? It seems that the worst sort of Satanist has a better chance of reaching Heaven, by his Karmic retribution, than the Christians who come here.

The (insert religious adherents here) usually mean no harm, and may not understand or experience the value of personal freedom. However, they deserve the respect and compassion of anyone else seeking to find a way toward meaning and purpose in life. If a person finds meaning and purpose, and wants to share it with others, what's the harm?

Religion is st the man made traditions that go along with church and carrying a Bible around and judging people and generally it is hypicritical.

But being a Christian is trying to live your life by the example that Christ set for us while he was here on earth. He did not judge people or make them feel bad about themselves, he loved people unconditionally and showed them patience and kindness and befriended them regardless of their walk of life.
When will Christians understand that it is not our job to judge people or tell them what they are doing or how they are living is wrong? It is or job to love people no matter who or what they are and just be an example of what Christ was.

If you believe that god instigated evolution and a day=a million years, how old was adam after god created him on the 6th day and rested on the 7th? it's the same word used, "yowm," to mean your 1,000,000 years and the translator's "day."

I think it's a very invasive practice. I keep having a small group of women show up at my door night after night. I've been very polite in telling them that I am not interested. I even had to call their church today and ask that someone tell them to stop coming. Why doesn't no mean no to them. If they are confident in their beliefs then why do they have to push so hard. These ladies came from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Jesus is God the word made flesh, ok How would you explain that to a Muslim? I tried and even carried on some nice conversations Jesus told us to love our enemies as well as our brothers, and to pray for them. I believe that there is no other way to salvation but through Jesus. I want to see people become saved not judged and berried. I do not want to hate either, I just want the Love Jesus to be made known.
That is my point behind my line of questions that seem to offend some people.

That you could meet each other face to face and have discussions instead of posting your opinions and getting frustrated at answers you don't agree with? I do. I think it gets to the point where both sides get so annoyed because they disagree that we just start insulting. Wouldn't it be easier to debate face to face?

He was besides himself. Depressed like no one else I've ever known. Toward the end he drank and smoked a lot. I don't know exactly what he did to go over to the other side. I do feel he made it
and is in the presence of God, what are your thoughts on this matter???

My fiancé and I are to be handfasted this April, but we’ve decided to become a married couple this month on the 28th through the Justice of the Peace. It’s going to be a very, very simple ceremony, while the handfasting will be the big celebration. You know, park gazebo, the dress, fairy wings, bubble machines, handfasting cords, broom jump, cake … the whole shebang!

The heartbreak is that I don’t think my aunt or her family will be going. A little bit of background: My whole family is Christian, but they’re also open-minded and accepting. My aunt, however, is … to say it nicely, extremely Christian. Anytime she wants to know about the union of my fiancé and I, she only mentions the civil ceremony. If I, or my mother, mentions the handfasting my aunt completely ignores it. She’ll either find an excuse to hang-up the phone, or sit there idly with the occasional “Uh-huh”, “Sure”, “That’s nice”.
