I reckon you're asking about The Doomsday Clock, which, since 1947 was 'set' by directors of the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists in Chacago as a way of monitoring the risk of a nuclear holocaust on earth. Sixty years ago it was set at 7 minutes to midnight (midnight being the end - Armageddon). Ever since then, the minute hand has been adjusted according to the increased, or decreased risk of a nuclear conflagration. Back in 1949 it was set at 3 minutes to midnight due to the Soviet Union testing its first atomic bomb. In 1963 it was set back to 14 minutes to midnight when the Partial Test Ban Treaty wasw signed, but forward again when India tested a nuclear device in 1974.

Right now, it's been set forward again due to the proliferation of countries developing nuclear capacity, and the volatile situation in the Middle East. However, the REAL Armageddon will not occur until "spirits of demons performing miraculous signs, go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle f the great day of God Almighty." God's timing has nothing to do with this imagined Doomsday Clock.

No one knows when the world is going to end, but the bible has a lot of prophecies and signs that will show that the end of the world is near. Jesus comes back at this time and gets the Christian and leaves everyone else. Then there is going to be 7 more years or tribulations and the God will come back and everyone will be judged

but this is a little deep for a lot people

The Greek Har Ma·ge·don´, taken from Hebrew and rendered “Armageddon” by many translators, means “Mountain of Megiddo,” or “Mountain of Assembly of Troops.” The Bible associates the name, not with a nuclear holocaust, but with the coming universal “war of the great day of God the Almighty.” (Rev. 16:14, 16) This name is applied specifically to “the place [Greek, to´pon; that is, condition or situation]” to which earth’s political rulers are being gathered in opposition to God and his Kingdom by Jesus Christ. Such opposition will be shown by global action against God’s servants on earth, the visible representatives of God’s Kingdom.

The idea was in the Book of Revelations, but it is steeped in so much imagery and metaphor, a precise date cannot be gleaned. Most of the current Doomsday fear originated from preachers from 19th century to today. No one is supposed to know how or when the end will come and it should stay that way.

24For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible. 25See, I have told you ahead of time.

26"So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. 27For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.

29"Immediately after the distress of those days
" 'the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.'[c]

30"At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. 31And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

You're a bed wetter. Pray before going to bed.

mmhmm...

Revelation 16 talks about armageddon.

refer to verse 16 for the actual word.

Revelation 16:16-19
16Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.

17The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, "It is done!" 18Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since man has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake. 19The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath.

Human being have been sent to this world gifted with some capabilities and provided with some opportunities. It is by design, that they shall be accountable for, how they utilised them.If they worked well, they shall be able to reap the bounties of next world but if they were blind to these gifts, they must be suffering there, till by God's mercy they overcome their shortcomings and are able share the bounties of next world.Doomsday shall not be day of punshment but a day of stocktaking and those who neglected the chance provided to them in this world shall go through the fire of repentance and miseries of hospitalisation for getting well to join the spiritual persuit in the direction of mercy and love of God.
