Why do they not use the bible that J.Smith was given directly from God? Why do they give out the Christian Bible instead when they are recruting on tv? I am not talking about the book of mormon but the actual "bible" that all the mormons of the time said was the one and only true bible but not is never mentioned by mormons when the recrute... and thay do not even use in teaching their own.

Why, for generations, they were teaching that Christians were the enemy and that the Christian Bible was false and now they claim to be christians.

Run as fast as you can from those"missionaires"... They are not giving The Word of God... they are spreading deception...they may well believe what they are saying because the mormons do a good job of brain washing. But they are teaching things that will keep you from The Truth of God and from The True Salvation Message

here is a link to my pov on mormons and from there you will find a couple links to more formal information by other orginizations that you should concider before yougo too far with the mormon deception.

Ask them about the book of Mormon vs. the Christian Bible.
This is a quote from Lee Strobel's The Case for Christ. It comes from an interview with John McRay, PH.D.

Although Joseph Smith claims his book of Mormon is "the most correct book of any book upon the earth" archaeology has repeatedly failed to substantiate its claims about events that supposedly occurred long ago in the Americas.

As authors John Ankerberg and John Weldon concluded in a book on the topic, "In other words no Book of Mormon cities have ever been located, no Book of Mormon person, place, nation or name has ever been found, no Book of Mormon artifacts, no Book of Mormon scriptures, no Book of Mormon inscriptions...nothing which demonstrates the Book of Mormon is anything other than myth or invention has ever been found."

On the other hand archaeology backs up the Christian Bible all the time. If we dig in Israel and find ancient sites that are consistent with where the Bible said we would find them, that shows the Bible's history and geography are accurate. One prominate archaeologist carefully examined Luke's references to 32 countries, 54 cities, and 9 islands, finding not a single mistake. These are only some sites that have been excavated: The Pool of Bethesda in John 5:1-15, the Pool of Siloam from John 9:7, Jacob's well from John 4:12, even Pontius Pilate's identity has been confirmed by archaeology! John McRay PH. D. was asked if he had ever encountered an archaeological finding that blatantly contravene a New Testament reference he responded, "Archaeology has nto produced anything that is unequivocally a contradiction to the Bible. On the contrary, there have been many opinions of skeptical scholars that have become codified into 'fact' over the years but that archaeology has shown to be wrong."

The Book of Mormon is a made up (fantasy) story about the history of the USA - supposedly based on the lost tribes of Israel.

The Pearls of great wisdom is a book or sayings from the early leaders (Joe smith & brigham young)

Joe smith supposedly found these gold plates with ancient writing on them. He had 2 thimbles (whivh you put on your thumbs) and he used these to "translate" the gold plates and thats how the book of Mormon was written. This was less than 200 years ago.

If you can beleive that then you will probably believe anything.

They have problems with polygamy sometimes since they still beleive in it but the law says its a no-no, and then theres the weird thing of demanding you do your family tree so they can baptise all your ancestors into the church. It helps inflate their numbers.

It is understandable to be interested, they are very good people that make lots of humanitarian work.

Their belief system however has been widely criticized and has many flaws. I would search mormonism in Wikipedia and look for the criticism to this religion. They have very weird notions about the Trinity and marriage (like that you get married twice with the same person, the first is an earthly marriage, the second, that has to be done at a main temple, is an eternal marriage).

This people is very convincing, they study how to convince you and how to overcome criticism.

Mormonism is a cult. The head of their church is Joseph Smith not Jesus the Christ.
They believe in ;
Many Gods, Adam was a God and the father of our race. And these God's have sex and are married.
They believe when you die you will become a god of your own planet.
They believe you can be married in heaven-bible says no marriage or are you given in marriage.

they believe you can be baptized for your dead relatives-the bible says there is one baptism.
They are a cult-Now, if they tell you these are not truth according to the Mormon church either they don't know themselves or they are liars.
RUN from them.
Choose Jesus in a non denominational church. Follow the bible read the new testament-not the false book of Mormon. Ask yourself this, why do most Christians only have minor differences but they almost all say Mormons are a cult?
Also Father K was right-they think Satan was Jesus brother and they used to say African's were demons that were cast out of heaven. But they now recant this. I'm not making this stuff up they are a CULT

If the Book of Mormon is God’s word and was translated by a prophet with God’s help, why does the introduction page contain a statement (in small print) that this edition contains corrections of errors found in previous editions? How could it have had (even minor) errors in prior editions, and how do we know there are not still errors in this document?

Why does the Book of Mormon say that when Jesus died that darkness covered the land for three DAYS (3 Nephi 8:19, 23) when the Bible says it was three HOURS (Luke 23:44)?

Why do young, unmarried Mormon men call themselves “Elders” when the Bible says an elder must be the husband of one wife and have children who believe? (1 Timothy 3:2, Titus 1:6)

Jude 3 says “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” If the faith WAS ONCE DELIVERED UNTO ALL SAINTS, how does this leave room for a later day revelation?

Finally, ask them to explain Galatians 1:6-9 in relation to their story of how an angel gave Joseph Smith his later day revelations.

1) Ask them if they expect to become a god of their very own planet someday.

2) Ask them if Brigham Young really said the black people are cursed for all time with black skin.

3) Ask them if having many wives will guarantee that they will be able to populate their new planet with spirit babies when they become a god.

4) Ask them if Jesus is really the spirit brother of Lucifer.

5) Ask them where the planet Kolob is...and whether or not the "god of this planet, Jehovah" came from there.

These should keep them busy.

ask them that if Brigham Young was really a prophet how he could teach that people live on the moon and dress like Quakers?

ask them that if Brigham Young was really a prophet how he could prophecy that blacks would never ever be allowed to hold the priesthood but were given the right in 1978.

ask them that if Brigham Young was really a prophet how he could teach racism by saying blacks were an inferior race and would never be equal to whites?

ask about the Kinderhook plates.

etc, etc...

I think it should be very interesting. I have done that, too. Let them take the lead of what to say-and you just think of questions as you go along.

I have studied Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, also. It is nice to know what people feel and think about different religions.
