satan (I refuse to capitalize that word) blinds their hearts and souls. That is the same reason so many of them deny the existence of God. YBIC

I am a creationist but will play the devil's advocate for a little while. Why do you get so riled by this line of discussion/ questioning? Can you offer any tangible proof that you are right and they are wrong? Is it not a question of faith? Are you afraid that your faith is eroded when questioned? If you believe in evolution, what was the first form of existence and where did it come from? Can you give any tangible evidence or is it a question of faith? With the current break through in science, we all know that DNA strains are unique to specific species that are then grouped into various categories depending on the similarities in DNA and further sub-categorized based on how closely related their DNA is. How long does it take to evolve? Are we confusing evolution with an inate ability to learn and adjust? Assuming that evolution equates preservation, it seems to me we are moving backwards as we are slowly destroying ourselves, crippling our children and killing our planet. Is evolution then a good or bad thing? It would be nice if we all believed the same thing as there is safety in numbers but that is not the case. Whatever theory you believe, none of us can tangibly or irrevocably proof it to be the "be all end all" and therefore, questions about the origin of life should be welcome as an opportunity for growth not a reason to increase the separation that already exists and increases by the minute with each passing day. If we have evolved and our brains are better and more capable as the theories of evolution seem to suggest, why do we still fight like cat and dog and can not seem to add up an equation as simple as war begets war or you can't stop fire with fire after centuries of falling into the same traps and reacting in the same manner? Instead we advance our weaponry and pollute our very vital sources of survival in the process then turn around an kill each other in the name of self-preservation? When the elements fight back we co-operate for a wink. Who are we fooling and what are we trying to out-smart? Is that not supposed to be an animal trait/ instinct? Humans are supposed to reason not fight to mark individual or sociological territorries and definitely not force each other to submission by using unscrupulous methods!

The central problem here is that some people believe the bible is a historical document while I believe it is a steaming heap of crap. While I can't say for sure that we evolved from monkeys, my own logic says that man is not made from mud and women are not made from that mud man's rib.

Deacon Knight: The reason why we can't see the sarcasm is because there really are loons who think this way. How do we differentiate between the 'jokers' and the ones who are genuinely a sandwich short of a picnic??

All liberals do not believe in evolution. It's a scientific theory not a political idealogy. I just don't understand why you cannot tell the difference between a scientifictheory and a political persuasion. How ignorant!

I don't understand how creationists can be so ignorant about this subject.

The only ones who ever said we evolved from monkeys are the uneducated creationists who don't know what the hell they're talking about.

When the bible... Get your nose out of that book for a minute. I am not a liberal or conservative. But, I do realize the amount of evidence that we all come from a being related to the apes.

First of all, not all liberals do. My in-laws are liberal and as Christian as you can get. Not all conservatives believe in god. I am Atheist and Libertarian. You can't generalize like that.

Anyway, we believe in evolution because there is a great deal of evidence for it.

Blind leading the blind. The world denies God/Jesus. Even Jesus said that the world will hate you(true believers) because they hated Me(Jesus) first.

technology and science will replace faith. that is the way that the world is heading. No matter how hard people will try and stamp God out of this world, they will never be successful. After all the world is God's footstool

My 12 year old son gets upset about this too and he gives me his arguements about how evolution isnt true and even disagrees openly with his teacher. I think it is good to have your own opinion but allow others to have theirs as well. I think the bible is a story myself.

I'm fairly conservative but I believe that we evolved from monkeys...and the existence of liberals is proof of my belief.

Your question is too vague:

Liberal =/= Evolutionist.
Evolutionist=/=Heretic.
Therefore;
Liberal =/= Heretic.

Refine your language.
