What if both the atheists and the Christians are wrong and the Jews are right?

Didn't the Christians just break the commandments about not taking any other gods and not creating idols?

Don't the Christians stand to loose more in the event they are wrong?

There are several texts in the New Testament that suggest Jesus will return within that generation. (i.e. "Not one of you will see death before he returns.")

I sincerely don't understand this. Either he already returned thousands of years ago (Josephus makes mention of 'angelic armies' seen during the destruction of Jeruselem), or it is all fallacy?

Don't they realize that when it comes to all other Gods (Ra,Zeus,Allah, Buddha ect.) they don't need a single shred of evidence to prove they don't exist yet when an Atheist goes one god further because of lack of evidence they freak out and Claim that we are insane. Don't they realize that they are being hypocrites for bashing atheists when they do the same exact things. Do they realize how silly this is? I mean for every Christian who thinks that what they believe is real there is someone else who thinks what they believe is..just as much as they do!!!! Yet A Christian doesn't lose sleep at night wondering if they made the right choice. They don't research the Koran or the bhagavad gita to make sure...they just simply assume they are just books. But the people who read thoes think they are divine

OK, I once read in a book that ESP is perfectly normal and natural, that everyone has this ability. I thought is was EXTREMELY cool and tried to find it in me. I more or less succeeded, and I was able to get a light feel for future events at will) and have found a secret method which uses ESP) to win lottery and crack codes. I was trying it, using it for about a year, until I found out that ESP is a power that comes from the Devil, and is a sin. Then, I quit. (I may have used it 2 or 3 times) but now I truly don’t use it any more. However, I now get quite a few feelings and premonitions.. I had them from childhood, but now I have more of them. I try to suppress them, but they can still come out.

WHAT DO I DO???????

1880. Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "The inhabitants of Jannah will eat and drink therein, but they will not have to pass excrement, to blow their noses or to urinate. Their food will be digested producing belch which will give out a smell like that of musk. They will be inspired to declare the freedom of Allah from imperfection and proclaim His Greatness as easily as you breathe.''

Someone please tell me this is not seriously believed in the 21st century? Everyone in islamic heaven will go around continuously belching, and not have an a*sehole?

Christians always ask if we have considered the alternative. If we have considered that we may be wrong so I ask you?

What if the Jews are right and we get to go to Heaven?

What if the Hindus are right and we get reincarnated?

What if the Pagans are right?

What if the Wiccans are right?

Would that be so bad?

Can it be that people here are actually LEARNING something from all this interaction with atheists and other non-Christians?

What shall we work on with them next?

"Verily, Al-Abrar (the pious and righteous) will be in Delight (Jannah). On thrones, looking (at all things). You will recognise in their faces the brightness of delight. They will be given to drink of pure sealed wine. The last thereof (that wine) will be the smell of musk, and for this let (all) those strive who want to strive (i.e., hasten earnestly to the obedience of Allah). It (that wine) will be mixed with Tasnim. A spring whereof drink those nearest to Allah.'' (83:22-28)

This is a quote from islamdoor.com - it says muslims will be given wine when they go to heaven. That is a bit hypocritical isn't it?

Can he be God's right hand man, king of king, and Lord of Lords and still make the Gospel true?

Just curious. I'm studying the bible and in doing so a lot of "traditional" church doctrine seems to be unraveling for me.

At the same time, a lot of wonderful truths have been opened up to me.

To me, from an outside perspective, I can't think of too many examples in which an organized religion has really promoted female equality. Maybe, Epsicopalians, because they support the ordination of women....

Just look at the Baptists, who have openly come out against having female preachers.

Look at the Muslim and Amish Communities where women have to wear veils.

Do you think the Dali Lama would ever be a woman? Even Scientology is focused around a guy. Muhammed, Jesus, and Moses were all men, no surprise there. Do you think an orgainzed religion would ever be focused around a woman?

So women, my question is this. Why do you put up with these stupid religions that seem to be so focused on keeping you one step behind men?

Was raised Catholic but not happy with it. I would just like to find a religion that is laid back and not judgmental. I don't want my child growing up with a religion that says other people are bad because they don't believe what we do.

she considers herself pagan. she practices witchcraft but doesn't necessarily believe in gods/goddesses but believes in some universal energy, connection to nature(etc), believes in karma, believes in reincarnation, loves nature, and believes in some sense of spiritual law/accountability(but not necessarily as structured as wicca). is there a name for it other than the blanket pagan term?..there's traits from several religions in there.

ps-please don't bother to say she's evil or suggest she get a bible because she's not here to read it lol and i'm not going to tell her to either =)
