But answer this? Would you eat a hamsandwich, if you knew there was ONE little layer of BM? Would you drink your soda if you knew that one of it's contents was a pint of someones's pee? This question is mainly for Christians.

Well the Bible has a few "bad parts" too. So would you suggest we dont read them? There isnt all good in anything so why throw away everything that contains a little of the bad? We would have nothing at all.

Now Id have to ask you the question on why you are here? Is there not some bad things about this site? If you arent a Christian then this portion isnt nessisary. But the above statement is pretty much how I survive in the world.

Your analogy is unsuitable. you should actually be comparing apples to oranges, no longer apples to a brick. i'll exhibit screen a movie, although if there are some scenes that i did not look after, because i keep in mind that i'll bypass over the scene if i think it became making me ill (to my abdomen). once you take heed to music, you may no longer appreciate all the songs on an album by technique of that artist, yet you'll nonetheless %. out and hear those you do like. Oh and if I were to address the criteria you tried to make, I have eaten moldy cheese by technique of slicing off the white or eco-friendly on the exterior, because the middle continues to be good. I have lengthy gone swimming in a public pool and by probability swallowed some water, which i'm tremendously confident some little childrens have peed in. and finally, after I worked for my city's public works branch, I drank water from a fountain on the water treatment plant that became in truth recycled (wiped clean) rest room water. "...What does no longer kill you makes you more suitable..."

You assume that "some bad parts" of a movie will be harmful to you, using your analogy of tainted food which can cause you physical harm.

What evidence do you offer to show that seeing "a few bad parts" (you don't even say what's "bad") will be harmful to you?

Let's say one of the bad parts showed sex -- do you not know what sex is? Do you not understand that pretty much every single adult human on this planet has sex on a regular basis? Do you want to pretend that sex doesn't exist? Do you think seeing a simulated sex scene will somehow scar you for life?

Movies are made to present a story with a particular point of view, the point of view of the actors and director. You may agree with their point of view or not -- but seeing their point of view isn't going to harm you. It might make you *think* about their point of view, it might make you think how that compares to your own point of view, it might even make you a little smarter and help you understand the world around you...thinking about things is never bad. Even if you see something that you would never do, thinking about why you wouldn't do it (the consequences, how it might hurt others, etc.) just gives you a better foundation for your conviction not to do it. It's not going to hurt you to see it.
As long as you're an adult and can supposedly make rational decisions, learning about the world -- good AND bad -- is a good thing :)

Pay no attention to the people who for some reason do not get your good object lessons, it is what goes in that defiles us, it does not matter how it enters be it your eyes, mouth, ears or whatever.
My wife and I made it a practice years ago, when our children were little to not watch any movies that we would not want them to watch. I know of a lot of adults that will watch things they would never allow their children to. That is a double standard, and is not pleasing to God at all.
We must seek to please God in everything we do, whether it is the "popular" thing to do or not.

Seek you first the kingdom of God, and all good things will be added unto you.

I wouldn't. I know what you're saying. Christians should be living as Christians in every area of their life - including the movies we watch. Jesus is always with us & He sees what we see. I pray all the time that God will help me in this area.

I'm just answering this to ask why you thought my question was disgusting.

And I don't know what you mean by "bad parts," but there's a fast forward button on your DVD player for a reason.

Do you kill yourself because life has some bad parts? or do you deal with it and move on to better parts?

You don't eat or drink movies...you only watch them.
