Well, actually, Pascal's Wager was a way to convince people to BELIEVE in God. So I'm not sure what you mean. Anyway, the wager was meant for the libertines, who lived a life of debauchery, so Pascal was trying to convince them. Like Jim, I don't think believing in God because of a wager has any value. It shocked me when I first heard about it at 17, and it still shocks me now!
PS: I'm an atheist.

No, actually I saw it posted about three times yesterday alone. I don't know how many times I've tried to explain to Christians that Pascal's Wager is a very bad argument for believing in their god. They still don't get it.

Oh, you missed it. Pascal's Wager was on here twice yesterday. Are people learning? I don't think so. Have a great day!

I think that such "faith" that would be a result of Pascal's bet would be worthless anyway. Jim

However, I can almost guarantee a new batch of christians will come through soon, and we'll have to start educating them all over again.

From the time I have been here, they seem to be learning a little. Maybe later they will actualy study evolution before they try to accuse it.
