Christians always ask if we have considered the alternative. If we have considered that we may be wrong so I ask you?

What if the Jews are right and we get to go to Heaven?

What if the Hindus are right and we get reincarnated?

What if the Pagans are right?

What if the Wiccans are right?

Would that be so bad?

I am in no way implying that the christians are right about anything other than the possibility that we may be wrong.

every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ IS THE LORD....just cuz u dnt believe now, doesn't mean you won't in the after-life. Let God be True and every man a liar

oh, and for everyone who needs proof....follow the History of the Bible, and look and see how many millions and thousands of Christians were persecuted and killed bcuz of Jesus' name...if it is not TRUE, then why is the devil trying soooo hard to shut up THE WORD of GOD? and the devil is still at work, and a very great deceiver to many who cannot think past logic. The Word of God is very offensive to many, but that doesn't mean that it is wrong.

-What if the Jews are right and we get to go to Heaven?

I don't believe the Jewish religion says everyone goes to heaven. Where'd you learn that?

-What if the Hindus are right and we get reincarnated?

Remember the movie Groundhog Day? He only had to relive one day till he got it right. Now imagine having to go through an entire life over and over and over ad nauseum for eternity. Until you at least admit there is a possibility there is a supreme being before anything changes. *LOL* Now to me that would be HELL.

Don't know enough about Pagans and Wiccans to give you the down side of being wrong if they are right.

If the Christians are right I still could not bring myself to worship a deity that evil. I would have to appeal to Lucifer for understanding and mercy. Maybe he'll put me in charge of one of the pits. Or for moderate Christians, I'd cease to exist and wouldn't know the difference.

If the Jews are right I'm set.

If the Hindus are right, I'll see you 'round.

If the pagans are right, all is in harmony.

If the Wiccans are right, the cycles continue.

None of that is very bad.

What if we are just imaginary constructs? We actually don't exist as we think. We see others but do we really see?

What if Matrix wasn't a movie but a warning sent to us by Zion to stir us from our slumber!?

Oh crap!

Oh wait, I have faith. I don't have to worry about all those what ifs....

I guess I'll give a meaningful answer here..

Depends on who is right. If you are wrong and the hindus are right I guess you'll just reincarnate as a roach or something.

If christans and muslims are right then you go to hell either way.

I think Buddhists believe in reincarnation too so I guess you'll just come back as a frog or something.

If Zeus is right then who knows? Hades?

The fact that "they" all contradict each other, both in belief and practice, demonstrates that their points of view are rooted in mistaken assumptions. The fact that so much violence and negative behavior both in the present age and historically, is attributable to people who practice one or another religion attests to the evil inherent therein.
There is no evidence for the existence of a being that has control over our lives or the universe. Like all other things (except the elements), we exist only temporarily in our present form. Is that so bad? Depends. As knowing beings, are we intelligent enough to behave morally just because it would benefit us all? History implies that we sometimes try, but most often fail. Are we getting better at it? I think that we would, if we taught that moral behavior is good for its (our) own sake, not just because we're afraid of punishment.

I fully admit that I may be wrong. However, I differ from an agnostic in that I don't question the existence of God. I absolutely believe there is no god based on the evidence available. But, no one actually knows, so I fully accept that I could be wrong. At that point (death), I either have no control over the situation, or if there is some form of judgment, I believe my life speaks for itself.

I always consider I may be wrong.

I look at the evidence I have and assess it. Period.

I'm not a Jew or Hindu or Christian or Muslim because I see no compelling evidence for me to do so. Others see the same evidence and come to different conclusions. So long as they don't try to force me or mine to do the same (through social or legal manipulation), the more power to them.

You could be right. I could be right. We could all be right.
We all have our own personalities and situations that we deal with. Its how we deal with them that gets us through it.
Some people like the Green Man, some like Buddha, some don't like anything, etc. Does that mean that we are all wrong?

The real question is: does it matter? If so, why?
Why does one particular section of society have the right to choose for all the others and make trouble if the others don't come around to their way of thinking?
Isn't this more about power ?

It has been suggested that since we cannot know for certain, we be content to live in the question, and keep an open mind. One of the ways we can do this is imagine that other points of view may be correct and ours may be mistaken.

It may be that certainty is more of a problem than we'd like to think.

I don't think anyone has any answer, if they did, then there would not be so many religions and differing views and opinions! I believe everyone should have their own faith or view, whatever it is, and keep it to themselves!

It only concerns you what you do or believe in. You don't need to convince anyone. If everyone is a sinner, then let them sin, and do as you wish. If you're agnostic, good for you- just keep it mum and be happy. I really could care less what anyone believes in, because it doesn't matter one lick of difference to my life. My super religious neighbor can move away, die, whatever, and yes it doesn't matter to my faith.
