Don't they realize that when it comes to all other Gods (Ra,Zeus,Allah, Buddha ect.) they don't need a single shred of evidence to prove they don't exist yet when an Atheist goes one god further because of lack of evidence they freak out and Claim that we are insane. Don't they realize that they are being hypocrites for bashing atheists when they do the same exact things. Do they realize how silly this is? I mean for every Christian who thinks that what they believe is real there is someone else who thinks what they believe is..just as much as they do!!!! Yet A Christian doesn't lose sleep at night wondering if they made the right choice. They don't research the Koran or the bhagavad gita to make sure...they just simply assume they are just books. But the people who read thoes think they are divine

Hey Fantasy...which by the way fits you so well....You cannot claim that any other Gods have any validity or else you discredit your own beliefs...Don't you see how irrational your answer is...If you think that Buddhism could be true then your not really a christian are you? Jesus didn't walk around saying it was ok to worship Muhammed did he? NO! Please...you did not think

Why just say it is the Christian that this hypocritical? The other religions out there don't read the Holy Bible. Those that follow Allah, read the Koran, the Jewish read the Torrah only, which is the Old Testament of the Christian Bible. Those that follow other "gods" don't read the Holy Bible at all. So, why single Christians as the only hypocritical species?

I sleep well at night knowing in my heart that I've made the only possible decision in following God the Creator/Son/Holy Spirit.

I don't tell others they are going to hell just because they don't believe the way I do. It's God that tells them they are going to hell if they choose to follow other gods. I can pray for them, asking God to open their hearts and eyes to come unto Him. But, I can't make any one out there believe the way I believe. Therefore, why do they think they can make me believe the way they do?

Many who follow some other path than I do, call me weak. Aren't they weak in following the path in which they have chosen?

The Holy Bible tells us the path to the Father is straight and narrow... how many are walking the narrow path? The only way to the Father is the path through His Son.

Do they realize how silly they are when they call us weak? I would rather be weak than strong... leaves me room to grow.

Its a process my friend, I think its silly to assume the Big Bang occured and Its only natural to believe in God. So if God exists you must ask your self what the meaning of life is or what does he want from me. So you do study, and read the message of Jesus Christ which is love and peace. I think every one one here is gathering facts and duing just what you want them too examing the issues.

I am Christian, and I don't freak out on you, or think you are insane. I was once atheist too.
I also have studied, buddism, islam, judism, hinduism, paganism, native american, etc. and on and on. So I am truely sorry that so many get judged by some christians. It is not what Jesus taught us to do. I will answer questions, and share the ways Jesus has changed me for the better, and if someone expresses their desire to not want to hear more, then that's fine, and I will respect that. I hope others will learn this, reguardless of their beliefs.

Some are some aint! The bible clearly states that if other religions don't back up the facts of Jesus (God's Son, born from a virgin, died on cross, rose back to life, ascended back to heaven, will return to take his followers home) then they are fake. True christians don't need to look anywhere else, because we have accepted Christ in our hearts and He fills every void in our life. This is something non christians just can't understand and never will unless they turn to Christ. This is the truth.

Gods are fragile issues; they could be killed by using a whiff of technology or a dose of elementary experience. in case you confront a Christian with too many smart questions they have a tendency to throw biblical verses at you without even understanding what there speaking approximately. it is not there fault. Thats the way they have been taught to think of.

I wholeheartedly agree with your urging of Christians to think. Far too often we take the easy way out and sing our little songs to each other. We /do/ need to put our faith through rigorous tests, and we /do/ need to compare how our tested faith compares to that of other world religions. It is hard work and risky, but we need to do it, or we have no business discussing it with people like you. On the other hand, it is a non sequitur and therefore intellectually dishonest of /you/ to conclude that because one particular belief or even most beliefs are false, that all of them are false. I've been visiting R&S for weeks now, and I very rarely see arguments for atheism that go any deeper than fun-poking at Christianity. This amounts to essentially the same thing as Christians singing "Jesus loves me, this I know" when confronted with the tough questions atheists ask. Calling oneself an atheist is not equivalent to owning all objective knowledge, and atheists should not pretend that they have a monopoly on reason. Christians aren't the only ones who need to open their minds and be honest with themselves.

My God changed my life, completely, for the better.
My God is the Living God, who has sent His Holy Spirit to abide with me forever.
My God is not a theory. My God is my strength, my life , my peace, my joy.
I was spiritually dead. I am now spiritually alive.
My God is the One who created the world, delivered the Israelites from the bondage of the Egyptians, brought them into the land of Canaan, performed signs and wonders in the earth, sent His Son from heaven, permitted wicked men to crucify Him as He made atonement for the sins of the world, and then 3 days later raised Him from the dead. My God is a historical fact, and He is alive today, and He has brought back His people into the land of Israel again, as He foretold thousands of years ago. He is about to judge the world and send His Son again from heaven to set up an earthly kingdom, ruling and reigning out of Jerusalem.
All the leaders of the religions of the world are dead and in their graves. Jesus Christ is alive, and as He said to the Jews, I now say to you, that unless you believe that He is the Christ, the Messiah, the Savior of the world, you will die in your sins (and perish).

Why are PEOPLE so hypocritical? Christians tend to be hypocritical because they're human, and humans tend to be hypocritical. I've never met anyone whose behavior is always consistent with their stated beliefs. You just happen to (apparently) be paying more attention to this character deficit in Christians.

The Bible says there are many gods, but there is only one true God who is the creator and giver of life, all the other gods are impotent. There are those who call themselves Christians but they prove false to the power, they are Christendom.
