It should be the government, but you can see how good of a job they're going at that...

These days people have come to the conclusion that religion has taken over our lives. Personally I dont believe that our nation needs to be protected by religion, on the contrary I have the understanding that it is religion which keeps us holding on to our manners and morals, without it society would fail. But i do see a problem when religion becomes political. And that is where i think many people have a misunderstanding.

Protecting out nation from "religion" would be a good thing, but the need for true chrstians and for God is evident in out world today.
( by the way many people misinterpret the meaning of a christian: it hs nothing to do with religion and church, it only means that a person if trying to act like Christ did when he was on this earth (kind, forgiving, showing unconditional love, patience)

and if more people would stop trying to be religious and start just trying to be a good christians then that is what might actually save out nation.

The only way to "protect our nation from religion" is to educate and continue to fight for the rights of freedom to all people as long as it does not harm another.

This protection applies to radical Christians, Islamists, and Atheist religions alike.

As much as you'd love to believe that this nation of ours is ruled by the Baptist Church or whatever, more and more public displays of religion are being taken away.

So quit your belly aching!

Sure. Let's have no religion at all. With religion comes morals and a sense of right and wrong. Let's throw that out here so everything becomes relative and there are no absolutes. Wouldn't we all be much happier that way? Then we could abolish all forms of law enforcement because nothing would be wrong, there would be no need of any supervision whatsoever, we'd be free to do exactly what we want whenever and however it suits us.

Sounds Utopian to me!

We need to vote. Who ever can vote, they should. I follow Jesus, not any religion. I believe that Jesus came to free us from religions, He wanted to teach us to have a personal relationship with God. And He also gave us a choice to not to have a relationship.

The atheists, along with the govt. if we keep pushing to seperate church and state more, soon there will be religion in houses, religious facilities, and private buisness only,

It will take a while, but we have to keep oushing the topic

I do what I can, but it's on such a small scale. And mostly I'm preaching to the choir. So to speak, no pun intended.
