‘Let no man speak harshly to another, for he will answer in the same way. Angry speech brings trouble and trouble in return. Not in the sky, nor in the sea, nor in the cave in the mountains can a man escape from his evil deeds. Never does hatred cease by hating, hatred ceases by loving'.

‘Though one conquers a thousand times a thousand men in battle, he who conquers himself is the greatest warrior.'

Hi,

You can find most of what you are looking for in the "Dhammapada".... A list of little "Buddhaisms", from the Pali Cannon.

http://buddhism.kalachakranet.org/resources/dhammapada.html

They won't all be lumped together, however.... The Dhammapada is neither long, nor short.... you should be able to find them (not in those exact words) in a few minutes of looking.

Namaste,

Sounds like the Dhammapada, but I haven't had the priviledge nor fortunate enough rebirth to have had the chance to memorize the texts to say for sure. If you run a search you'll find more beneficial answer than I can provide, or perhaps one more learned than I can answer.

the thought & writing is marvelous - it is calling to be rational in all walks of life... sounds solid yet how many do reason on the subject of the failings we do in our lives? it is motivational for thinking & asking us to apply our brains. spectacular!
