The first... we are all created to do good things so they never earn us extra credit. But one sin causes us to be sepperated from God, it doesnt matter if its 1 or 10,000 ,,, if you have one sin that is not forgiven, you cannot enter heaven and sin can only be forgiven through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

I know people like to frown on this but if I tell you how to get to my house, and you dont follow my directions, you just cant get there. No matter how nice you are or all the good you've done for me. If you dont follow my directions, you wont get to my house. You could drive all over the world and get yourself really lost for most of your life, but when you decide to come the way I told you to, you will find me.

No. 2. Even No. a million is committing sins, inspite of how sturdy he became. yet quite the coronary heart of the count number continues to be in the very incontrovertible reality that the Christian is saved, the atheist isn't. you're literally not getting to bypass to Heaven only because you've been a sturdy man or woman. You get to Heaven one way in reality, and that is via Christ.

The standard for admittance into heaven is pure and unblemished holiness. That has always been the standard. In order for any person to get into heaven, they need to be counted as holy when they stand before God. Even the woman who lived a good life can not claim holiness of this degree. The one who accepts Christs payment for their own unholiness can stand before God as pure and holy, because they are seen as washed clean and their unholiness covered by the unblemished sacrifice of Christ. He took upon Himself the punishment for others unholiness, so those that will accept His sacrifice, through repentance, can benefit from it.

God knows the hearts of people. If the woman has heard and knows the truth in her heart but refuses it, she is in a way telling God that her way is the way. Jesus said that no one could come to the Father except through Him. So this woman is choosing to live life according to her idea and not God's Word, and that Jesus is not the way, nor the Truth. She is not believing in faith, nor is she accepting God's grace. She is trying to get to heaven by her works, in her own strength.
The murderer who lived an evil life on the other hand is hearing the Word, believes in faith that Jesus is the way and the truth, accepts God's forgiveness and Jesus as His Savior. He is believing in faith.
The women in her pride, or self righteousness rejects Jesus, whereas the man is humble admitting his shortcomings and accepts Jesus.
God can't bend the rules just because someone seems to be good on the outside. He looks in their hearts, in the depths of our spirit and souls, past the surface of the flesh.

does anyone else think that the good moral person should be the one??? Clearly not the christians...

Still, i want to add that in my opinion, based on reason, neither will go to heaven as this is a fictional place.

Thankfully, the young woman will hopefully have been loved all her life and been heathy and happy. It is this life that is more important than anything, rather than waiting for what PROBABLY doesnt exist. Any anyway, if heaven prefers to let murderers in than gentle loving souls, then i don't think i want to go to heaven. I would turn back at the pearly gates and and say... nope, i prefer nothingness.

Christians will always say the murderer.. irony isn't it?

It is like the age old question.. who is a worse sinner.. the atheist who doesn't feel what he is doing is wrong (because he doesn't believe in that faith) or the christian who knows its wrong then goes to church every Sunday to apologize for it?

That is one thing I find interesting about the christian faith is they can do wrong against the god they worship but let us do the same thing as they and we about go to the dark ages cause they want to stone us.

The problem is more and more it is people proclaiming to be christian so they can hide behind the bible instead of aspiring to do good and be good people. Not all.. I know a few (I stress few) good Christians and I applaud their belief.. I just hate that such a powerful belief system gets torn down by those who like to feel superior to others.

Perhaps some see it as saddening, but the truth of God's Word tells us that it is the man who will go to heaven, not the young woman. The crucial difference is that she does not believe in Jesus Christ.

The woman who rejected Jesus will not go to heaven. The murderer will make it if he really accepted Jesus and asked for His forgiveness.
Why would God want someone in heaven that rejected the sacrifice He made for us?

The first one. It is not about our pureness and goodness. If the second do not want to be with Jesus after she dies, then she would not be over there. That is why it is very important that we understand this message. It is not our goodness that saves us. But when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we want to do good, But we only get saved by mercy and grace of God, through sacrificial gift of Jesus, which we need to accept.

If you reject Jesus as your savior, you have no other way to draw close to God. Even our best works are like "filthy rags" when compared to the holiness of God.

God's holiness and our sinfulness prevent us from living in the presence of God. He has taken care of that through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. If you reject that sacrifice on your behalf, you will die in your sin without a way to enter the presence of God and so will spend eternity separated from him.

Even the demons believe in God.

You want to argue that God forgives and accepts the wrong people, but God shows no favoritism and accepts ALL who come to him through the shed blood of Jesus. He asks only that one thing of us.

The Bible clearly states that Jesus will be a "stumbling block" for many who will not submit to that one requirement and seek forgiveness through Jesus Christ.
