I just saw this. A Muslim female designer introduced something called the "burqini," for swimming.

This is her company, that makes all kinds of "modest" sportswear, including karate gis.

As a female swimmer, I found the testimonials from women who could "finally" swim and not be dragged down by clothes so touching. I'd hate not to be able to swim. And if this is what it takes to make some women comfortable, I'm all for it.

But I'm also grateful that, as a Pagan raised in a Christian environment, I've got no problem with a tankini.

I think that it is great that they have designed a solution that fits in with their lifestyle.
Quitting should not be an option. And compromising your principles is also not an option.

But innovation certainly is...

It's pretty cool, it gives the muslim women the chance to go to any beach to swim. And they won't have to wait for women's only days at the local swimming pools to go swim.
