gave their lives for the freedoms we are now enjoying in this country. They fought for our right to be free. Do they buy or wear poppies - The response was actually nil - good at blowing their trumpets when it suits them - i am saddened and I am shocked at the response

So, I'm not understanding your question. Is your point that because some people died to secure some freedoms, we shouldn't protest?

It's pretty much a fact that UK Muslims are second class citizens. I guess they should be grateful for what they have and not ask for impartial treatment?

And those stupid black people should have been grateful to even be ALLOWED on a bus at all, and shouldn't have complained when they were asked to give up their seat to white folks. Didn't Rosa Parks know that white men fought and died for this country? Stupid woman.

I'm not from the UK and dont really know why the muslims there were protesting. i didn't see your question before--if i did i probably would've answered. what are poppies though? i think people didn't understand the question and thats why you didn't get any responses. I live in the US and of course I appreciate what soldiers have done to protect this country. I haven't ever protested about anything but if for some reason i did i would not be discrediting the people who died for this country. i didn't really answer the question but i felt i had to answer because you commented on no muslims answering.
i tried to search for it on the internet, but all i found was an article about people against war protesting if the 100th soldier was killed and people putting names of the soldiers on poppies. it doesn't mention muslims protesting....

It is a powerful lesson (not being cruel or snide here) in the concept of how PEOPLE can only see things through the lens of their own perceptions. We are ALL a conglomeration of causes and conditions which are unique to each and every one of us, making us all different. Also, people change. You're not the person you were a moment ago, nor will you be the same person five minutes from now. Have compassion for these facts, for we are all "imperfect" in our own ways.

To expect others to subscribe to any one viewpoint, because we think they should is sheer arrogance and ignorance (again, I'm not pointing fingers because I've had my fair share of ignorance and arrogance).
