That we can repent is the gift of God. Faith is the gift from God. Faith comes by hearing and hearing a word about Christ / God. Because God sent His Only Begotten Son that whosoever believes (Faith) in Him will not perish but will have ever lasting life (John 3:16).
Before that, in John 3, Jesus also talks about how we need to be born again, born of the Spirit, to see the Kingdom of God.
The gift of God is eternal life, through faith in Jesus.

If I have faith in God, and I do not repent of my sins, am I saved?
If I have faith in God, and I do not obey Jesus, am I saved?
If I have faith in God, but do not have love, am I saved?
Just because something is a free gift, doesn't mean there are no requirements.
Acts 2:38 Peter [said] to them: “Repent, and let each one of YOU be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of YOUR sins, and YOU will receive the free gift of the holy spirit.
Matt 7:26 Furthermore, everyone hearing these sayings of mine and not doing them will be likened to a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand. 27 And the rain poured down and the floods came and the winds blew and struck against that house and it caved in, and its collapse was great.”
1 Cor 13:2 and if I have all the faith so as to transplant mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

I do not believe it's a gift from God because it was man that preached repent and have faith, God never asked of that, unfortunately man continues to put words in the mouth of God, and for doing that they will be removed from the tree of life you can bet on that.

to respond to your identify question, specific, faith is a modern-day from God, yet Ephesians 2:8 isn't asserting that. The Greek (by using gender association) makes it sparkling that the "present of God" is the completed element - salvation by using faith. the respond to in spite of if God is arbitrary relies upon what you think of human beings deserve. If 2 human beings the two deserve a undeniable present, then to furnish a modern-day to one and to no longer the different is unjust. besides the shown fact that, if neither merits the present, then the giver isn't under criminal duty. He would provide it to one, to the two, or to neither. He can do what he needs with what's his, and breaks no ethical rule by using doing so. it incredibly is what Paul is getting at in Romans 9; and Jesus says the comparable element in Matthew 20:15.

According to the Bible everything is generally a gift from god. SInce Life is a gift from god then everything in life is in turn a gift from god as well.
Repentance is the feeling and act in which one recognizes and tries to right a wrong, or gain forgiveness from someone that they wronged. In religious contexts it usually refers to repenting for a sin against God. It always includes an admission of guilt, and also includes at least one of: a solemn promise or resolve not to repeat the offense; an attempt to make restitution for the wrong, or in some way to reverse the harmful effects of the wrong where possible.
Faith is a belief, trust, or confidence, not based on logic, reason, or empirical data, but based fundamentally on volition often associated with a transpersonal relationship with God, a higher power, a person, elements of nature, and/or a perception of the human race as a whole. Faith can be placed in a person, inanimate object, state of affairs, proposition or body of propositions such as a religious creed.
Repentance has more to do with forgiveness for sins, so it could be looked upon as god's gift of forgiveness. We can choose to accept this gift or deny it.
Faith is more of one's personal belief in god, in his teachings, the bible, etc. etc. I think faith is more of our belief in god's gifts to us. I suppose you could look at it as god's gift of supplying us with the ability to have faith.
hope this helped,
good luck

No, but the reward of repentance and faith is salvation.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

"Faith" is believing in something in direct contradiction to common sense and all evidence to the contrary. It is nothing more than purposeful ignorance. Ignorance is anything but something of value and, therefore, could hardly be considered a "gift."
