Considering Jesus' pacifist views, could he be considered a hippy?

If so, would that mean that we should all have a drum circle on x-mas instead of a tree?

I have often thought that Jesus had many hippie characteristics. He was a pacifist, he believed in equality for all, he questioned authority, he was not materialist, and he was obviously very spiritual.

However, you can't really call him a hippie because the term refers to members of a movement in the 1960's.

Jesus was not a pacifist. He also was angered; even turned tables and screamed at townsfolk.

The Christmas tree's origin is Paganistic. It's more tradition than religion.

And the letter "X", often used in place of "CHRIST" in the word Christmas, has for quite some time offended many Christians because they feel as if society has "crossed out" or omitted Christ from Christmas, making it more and more commercial rather than holy.

The term "XMas" has been used in religious text for hundreds of years. "X" is the symbol for the Greek letter, chi, which is the first letter in the Greek translation of "Christ", or, "Khristos." So, essentially, "XMas" was not intended to be an abbreviation, or an informal or disrespectful term, at all.

All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him, may have eternal life; and I Myself will raise him up on the last day." (John 6:37-40)

I think Jesus would prefer you have a dinner for the needy.

Jesus wasn't a pacifist.

Luke 22:36 "Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one." KJV
