It is viewed as a duty for faithful Mormons to marry and to have as many children as they can care for so that they can provide physical bodies for other spirits to come to earth.

I am wanting to know what Christian theologians and writers have said about the morality of owning stocks of companies whose business model revolves around un-Christian items, such as armaments, tobacco, alcohol, and pornography. I also would like to see some writing on companies that support wrong causes such as Planned Parenthood, homosexual agenda, etc.

I hear about people who god saves from illness or disaster because they had faith in him. If life on earth is so awful and heaven is so wonderful, then why would god save those who had faith? Wouldn't they deserve to be allowed to die so they can go to heaven and be with god? And save the unbelievers so they have more time to get to know god? If an unbeliever was saved that might be the turning point in their life when they start to believe.

My boyfriend and I live together (which I know in the Bible is a sin), I have a 17 month old daughter, obviously I am not with her dad any longer. I have been blessed with many wonderful things in my life and I just want to say Thank you to the lord. I also wish to bring my child up in a Christian atmosphere with postivie morals to live by. I guess my questions is....will the members of the Church judge me because of the path I have taken in my past? I can't help but to think that they will be looking at me sideways and thinking bad of me. Does anyone have any thoughts or advice on this?? And please, if you wish to answer negativly, please don't do it here!

One time I was talking to a woman. She asked me if I went to church. To make a long story short, he started talking to me about faith in God and the like. Then she mentioned something about another woman she knew who was an atheist. That woman had recently died. About this woman, the woman I was talking to said, "I bet she believes now!"

Even as a theist, I found that to be just a tad judgmental and harsh. What do you think?

Are all the bad things that happen today a direct result of Eve taking dietary advice from a talking snake?

It's clear that those who eat of Jesus' flesh and drink of His Blood have life within them to the effect that they never die (unlike those who do not and have to wait for the end of time for the eternal banquet). They just are instantly changed and like Esther she has admittance to the throne room at any time. We must not forget that the water was turned to wine at Cana on her request.

In this day and age when people are more open-minded, I am suprised at the reaction I get when I say I don't want to have children. I don't say it in a negative way like I hate kids...I love kids-I work with special needs kids at my job. It's just that I've never felt the desire to have my own children. People always say, "oh, I'm sure you'll change your mind" but what if I don't? Will I be chastised because people will assume I'm a selfish, horrible person for not reproducing? I have thought this through a lot and am pretty sure I'd like to spend my time and efforts doing volunteer work instead of raising kids. People make the choice to have kids, why can't I make the choice not to?

In the state of Michigan, a person can now go to prison for life for committing adultery. I swear, it was on channel 12 news tonight. As a christian, I think that is horrible.

I have a product/catalog that I would like to send out to as many Mormons as possible (I am a Mormon so it's not anti-Mormon stuff),. Does anyone know how I might find a mailing list? I know they have member directories for their congregations, but those are not to be used for commercial purposes. I am completely ok with purchasing the list too, I just want to know where to find one. Any leads would help. Thanks.

I asked for proof of evolution without quoting science and the answers amaze me. How many times have Christians been told not to use the Bible to answer their questions. What do think of this answer one person gave?

"That is a question of ultimate ignorance. What I think or what anyone thinks is not proof. First you say give me proof and then you say don't offer your proof. You don't want proof. You are afraid of proof you prefer to remain locked in your cocoon of ignorance. clinging to your fantasy of omnipotence. in dire fear of loosing your la la land of eternity and afraid your fantasy boggy man the Devil will get you"

And that was one of the more polite answers. Most were very rude, as always. And to think they don't like it when we quote the Bible, huh!

Christians - I frequently see unsupported statements that claim the majority of either biologists, astronomers, or scientists in general, believe in the concept of a personal god. Would one of you please substantiate that claim with some current impartial data. Thank you.
