I asked for proof of evolution without quoting science and the answers amaze me. How many times have Christians been told not to use the Bible to answer their questions. What do think of this answer one person gave?

"That is a question of ultimate ignorance. What I think or what anyone thinks is not proof. First you say give me proof and then you say don't offer your proof. You don't want proof. You are afraid of proof you prefer to remain locked in your cocoon of ignorance. clinging to your fantasy of omnipotence. in dire fear of loosing your la la land of eternity and afraid your fantasy boggy man the Devil will get you"

And that was one of the more polite answers. Most were very rude, as always. And to think they don't like it when we quote the Bible, huh!

Well, for instance quoting science would be stating facts that are proven, on not only more than one book, but rather many different ones that come to the same conclusion, based on analysis and reasoning.

When you quote the bible, it's not believable by people who don't believe in deidities such as God, and the facts that it claims, because the bible although a valuable piece of writing due to it's wisdom and powerful symbolism, is not based on facts or rationality, but rather faith, and faith is to believe in something that cannot be proven.

Your question was an opinion, my opinion is that you should've not gotten rude answers, but then it depends on how you presented the question, maybe you got rude answers because you made the question on a manner that people thought was rude as well.

Rudeness is just mean, but some people feel is necessary to ge their point across

Well science is a known fact, except in the theory of creationism. Nobody doubts that the heart pumps or the skin is keratinized on the outside or anything like that. But creationism is known as a belief, and not everybody believes it. Science is not belief. It is fact unless you choose to ignore it, because anyone can go around ignoring the fact that the heart is a muscle and believing it's made of cheese or something. Since it's fact, there aren't too many opinions on it and there's only so many ways you can go, and that's with scientific proof. Beliefs are not believed by everyone and there is no proof for them other than the Bible or that persons own personal experiences; yet Chrstians constantly claim that theirs is the only "truth." If there is a truth, there should be facts to back it up. So people asking for a verdict either from society or science and only getting the Bible in return are not being given the right evidence, since not everyone believes the Bible. You can't really ask for a scientific or society opinion and ask not to be given facts.

This was your question:
"Atheist, give my your PROOF of evolution, and don't go quoting science to us, just tell us what YOU think?
I want YOUR thoughts, not what some so called science major put in your head? "

No, this is the equivalent of saying prove the events in the Bible happened without using the Bible or the places mentioned in the Bible, or as ZER0 C00L said, "Evolution IS science... you can't remove that anymore than you can remove Jesus from Christianity." Like all Creationism, your question was just empty rhetoric. The challenge to Creationists is to find evidence for Biblical Creation without going to the Bible as a sole source, and using the circular reasoning that the Bible is true because the Bible says it's true.

Your challenge was to prove a scientific theory without the tools of science or scientifically gathered data. You asked people to prove evolution by opinion alone. You also reworded the question here. You have all the characteristics of a great Creationist: you quote people out of context, you "massage" the data to make it into something else, and to keep people from seeing the truth, you don't cite your sources. I decided to link back to your question so people can see what you really said. I find it ironic you would ask for an "honest" opinion.

and you're going to get a lot more not so nice ones, in response to this.

HOW can we proove evolution without quoting science??? science is evolution. How does a book make something real... where as actual physical evidence doesn't?? that dont make sense

The bible could have been written by anyone therefore is not proof!!!!

and to who ever said you stumped people who believe in evolution... i dont think you did that at all. just pretty much told us that we can't answer your question with the scientific proof we have!!

I once found a fossilized sea shell in my garden. This amazed me since I live hundreds of miles from the ocean. I took the shell to a college professor who told me that at one time there was an inland sea where my garden was. This was thousands of years before the story of Genesis was told orally.
We have bones of animals and fossilized plants which existed long before humankind did. Since no one was there to record the beginning of humankind, we can only piece together the remains of creatures like "Lucy" which was found in Africa. We do not have definitive proof of evolution, but so far it is the only theory which makes sense. Maybe someday we will prove we are wrong. For now it makes sense and as long as we say God started it all, it really does not matter how we got here. Why we are here and where we are going is important.

Your question ("Atheists, proof of evolution in your own words") is a rhetorical question if you think about it. Im sure if I asked "Christians, proof that jesus exists, in your own words", they'd probably slightly modify the words of someone else.

Is this "question" an statement or an demonization of atheists?

Well, I didn't see the question, but I think it's quite funny. But you can be sure some people will take offence.
As we Christians sometimes take offence when people make fun of our responses, non-Christians don't like you to make fun of them either.

you will get no proof. I asked a guy on here to give me proof for his answer to my questions, his response was "to much to post." either he is lazy or his positions mean nothing to him. all i wanted was enough to be convincing. you will find that in most of these atheists, they have a NEED to be right, but we just want to be right. you see if they are wrong they have everything to lose. if I'm wrong, i have nothing to lose.
