As a result of a dying, oxygen starved brain?

I myself am not sure. I do know that numerous atheists claimed that after they had one of these experiences, they were now a "believer" in some sort of GOD or the afterlife.

What do you guys think of why many people experience a NDE?

Thanks in advance.

D.

Its kind of a pantheistic religion thats based in a more subjective philosophy. (Ideas are more real than physical things) If enough people seem interested, then I'll create a website or something explaining the core beliefs.

I've been to psychologists, psychiatrists, therapists, counselors, you name it I did it. I still seem to be sad a lot...I wonder if it's seasonal affective disorder?

Well, anyways. Has anyone ever found peace in religion? I used to be a Christian but I left it for many reasons. What's the most peaceful religion, not in the physical sense but in the spiritual sense. You know, no evil hell threatening to bar you from heaven if you don't do this or that e.g. accept Jesus Christ or you're going to hell! I'm depressed enough lol, eh don't fill me with hell this or hell that. What is the monk religion? They seem to be happy. Thanks.

Imagine a person who held a special medication that could cure any infant dying of cancer.

What would you think about this person if they intentionally withheld this medication and allowed thousands of infants to die a slow, painful death each and every year?

Would you consider this an EVIL person?

I have asked some questions where I quote directly from the Koran and ask for a non-violent response from muslims. Because muslims complained I have been suspended. These are questions such as; The koran required that believers have NO non-beliving friends and that one may lie to hide the truth about islam from others.

Would you be interested in either boycotting Yahoo or organizing a demonstration at their offices because they are pro terrorists and support them.

Remember that when Hitler started discriminating everyone ignored it until it effected them. Yahoo is anti America, anti Israel and very pro terror.

The saints haven't risen yet like they think. Besides that, all they have to do is pray to the father. Jesus made the way for them to do that.

I've noticed that when an evolution or creation question comes up, Christians answer with lots of scientific data and what appears to be evidence. Atheists just say things like "didn't you go to grade school?" Is there so little real data to support the theory of evolution. I have read that evolutionists are even starting to refuse to debate creationists in a formal setting, even when their opponent has all the same credentials as themselves.

If everything around us has limits to its existence, does this necessitate the existence of a being without limits?

This question applies to any religion.

I believe in a God of sorts, and even spell the word with a capital G to respect people that love Dog backwards! Does it still mean that I am doomed to hell because I don't believe in the story of Jesus? and the other religious equivalent of said son of God?
Seriously... I am not taking the mick!

Weve been married 4 years and at the time I considered my self A Christian. I felt I needed to hurry and affix myself that label and the church has its ways to really make you think you beleive. Now I feel Ive changed, Ive grown but my wife has no idea, and I just hide it and go along with it even though it now seems like witchcraft to me. I cant even have a conversation without God being mentioned every 5 minutes. Should I tell her at the risk of her divorcing me because were no longer equaly yoked?
Or should I keep it inside and go with the flow so I dont ruin my marriage which is what I fear will happen. I would like her to see why Ive changed my views but I never think it would be possible for her to honestly see how and why I think this way or change her views. Its like when I hit 30 my mind really wanted to explore the world and religions and I was able to come to my own personal conclusion based on fact finding and research, she is 40 and Im afraid set in her ways plz
