I have nothing against public schools, I just heard something about someone teaching kids spells and what not to make there rooms go back to normal. I am aware of evolution being taught already. It is what I was taught.

darwinism- survival of the fittest.

Public school teaches that sex before marriage is fine. They teach abortion as birth control or that homosexual sex is healthy. It's not. Physically and mentally it's not healthy.
In S.Florida there's a real problem with Gonorrhea of the throat in the public high schools.

I'm not aware of anything being taught in public schools which goes against Godly beliefs.

Evolution might be a distasteful theory to the common Christian, but the fact is that it is a scientific theory which is widely accepted and well supported by evidence. While we may not like the conclusions it leads us to, we must still accept that it is scientifically supported and should be taught as such.

Just because we may disagree with it, doesn't make it against God. Science is simply the evaluation of the evidence which is available and the making of predictions based on that evidence. It makes no allowances for God one way of the other. To teach evolution isn't against God. It's looking at his creation and trying to understand it intimately. That's the most Godly thing I can think of.

If you want to see the other side of the coin, look at intelligent design. While it seemed like a good thing to Christians, it was based on bad science and false information. Like all easy routes, it was a path failure rather than enlightenment. We can't second guess what we see around us because we don't agree with it what it might mean. Likewise, we can't short-cut science and teach our children poorly supported theories just because they seem to support our view of the Bible.

Here's an analogy... Imagine you read a passage in the bible that you interpret to mean that rocks are never red. What would you do if you tripped over a red rock? The easy path is to close your eyes and pretend it never happened, but that's lying to yourself. Maybe you just misinterpreted the passage. Maybe some kid just painted a brown rock red. There's a lot of ways that you can believe the Lords word but still accept the reality that the rock was red. We can't just close our eyes to what we see because the conclusions are hard to accept. That's self delusion and nobody can have real belief whose beliefs are based on lies.

If our schools teach our children honestly and openly using the scientific information as we currently understand it, then I don't see that as being in any way ungodly.

Hmmm... some people think evolution is wrong. But frankly speaking, I think God works through evolution so we can try to understand it better how the world came to be.
Also, as a Muslim, I'm not fond of the valentine's day for the kids because it only enhances the behaviors of flirting etc that start around the 3rd grade. Yup, that early or maybe even earlier! That's the only secular holiday I'm not fond of. I don't mind about thanksgiving. Christmas is a different story since we don't observe that holiday or even the commercialism that goes with it.

So may daughter is in private school. Situation remedied.

Nothing. Unless you're against your kid learning about condoms, which some parents are.

Basically, if your kid goes to a public school, s/he learns how to deal with people who don't think like s/he does, of which there are plenty in the real world. If your kid goes to a private school, s/he learns how to deal with people who think just like s/he does, and is eventually going to have to find out someday that not everybody has the same values or thinks the same way like they did in private school. Personally, I'm glad I'm getting the experience now.

Well, there are alot of scientific proposed concepts. I reckon for those that don't beleive in Christianity or God. Some poeple just cannot believe the fact that there is a God, they just cannot believe something they cannot see. Therefore they create concepts or theories to support their claims and opinions, and making it sound reasonable to accept. Whether you believe in evolution or not, this would be an example of a built up concept.

However, hope you find my opinion useful. I don't want to upset the many poeple that can read this answer, so I won't pick a certain side.

See You!

I guess they teach that things are millions and billions of years old, which they taught me in Earth Science. I didn't take Biology, so I didn't get to learn about Evolution. I suppose other non-Gogly beliefs they teach are that if you're gonna do it, wear a rubber, instead of the Godly teaching of "Wait until you're married".

It is very interesting to note, that, once we as a nation, officially kicked God out of our schools, immediately afterwards, we started hearing about school shootings and teachers molesting students on an everyday basis. We told God to get out and He graciously obliged us. However with God gone from our schools now, we also lost His blessings and protection of our schools.
Once God left, another force came in. An evil force, and we have put our children in the hands of the enemy. We need to put God back into our schools quickly or more judgement will follow.
God Bless You....Peace.

Mostly science, critical thinking, proper grammar, mathematics, history written by historians (not ministers), stuff like that. The usual ungodly, atheistic, Un-American, subversive and liberal garbage that represents skills kids need to function in society.
Get over it. If you don't want your kids to have public education, home-school them; you can then indoctrinate them in whatever beliefs you deem fit. Have fun.

If you dont like public schools, youre free to take youre kid to a private school, just dont spoil it for those that prefer public school to private school, or homeschool your kid.

The world isnt christian, and nor should it cater to christian only mentality. Keep religion at home because if you dont youll have to deal with the opinions of others, that may not agree with what youre insinuating.
