Honestly, don't take to heart what anyone says about that. No one really knows for sure what happens once we die. You think you might have an idea, but isn't there a large chance that you could be wrong? I mean, what if there isn't eternal life (in any spiritual religious form you take it: Heaven, Hell, Nirvana, Paradise, etc.)? What if we just rot there in the ground? Then what happens? And if there is eternal life, what happens when we get there? Is it Heaven, Hell or one place for everybody?
See? No one knows for sure. So if someone says something otherwise, they are being ignorant. You won't know til you're dead. It's not like it's a long wait to find out, anyways.

According to islamic teaching the soul of the dead body be regiven to the formerly body and then stay in the waiting room called "alam barjah" before the resurrection day. After resurrection day all of the dead bodies will be awaken up and they live again. They will be shown up their records during their lives in this world. These records contains all of our doings bad and good which had been written by angels.God wiil judge us in the fair final court whether we will go to heaven or to hell.Humans who believed to the only one God and had more good doings and they had asked for forgiveness for their bad doings during their lives, they will go to heaven.
In heaven we will still living but we will have no lust.We will have spouse but we will not having children. We can eat foods and fruits and drinks whatever we want.We can sleep or chating on a silken couch. We will be served by young and beautiful angels.
So we will live happily in heaven as God's rewards of our good doings in this world

There is no such thing as going to heaven while you remain alive. First you must die, then be resurrected. Also, not everyone who is resurrected will be recreated in heaven--some will be resurrected to earth after Armegeddon--including Abraham, Job, John the Baptist, Noah, David, etc.

Living in a New body the Bible describes. I don't think we can really describe what we will look like or be like in Heaven. I am sure I wont complain at any rate when I get there.

Death is inevitable. The thief on the cross knew when his would occur, but we can not predict our own. After his death, the crucified criminal went to live in paradise with Jesus. Some of us will also live eternally in God's presence. But others will experience everlasting torment, forever separated from Him.
If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's excuses because there is no acceptable defense for unbelief. (Acts 4:12)
Become part of God's family today. Acknowledge your sinfulness, and express your faith in these words:
"God, I have sinned against You. (Romans 3:23) I've followed my own way and refused to give You the right to rule in my life. (Romans 3:10-12) I recognize I am separated from You and cannot rescue myself. I do believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I accept the truth of the Scriptures? that His death on the cross paid my sin-debt in full. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) And I ask You to forgive me of my sins. (1 John 1:9) By faith, I receive You, Lord Jesus, as my personal Savior from this moment on."
If you just spoke those words to God, then, like the thief on the cross, you have received salvation? a gift of God's grace. The heavenly Father welcomes every person who comes to Him through His Son, regardless of background, age, or current situation. Through Jesus, the right to enter paradise is yours!

If you have trusted that the Lord Jesus Christ died for your sin then when you die your body goes to the grave and your spirit and soul goes to be with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5: 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Regardless of popular belief we do not go to Heaven until Jesus comes for us.
But yes, we are alive. We will be living in another dimension even tho that is hard for our limited minds to imagine.....
The Bible says...........
"eye has not seen, ear has not heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man what God has in-store for those who love Him".
God Bless & keep the Faith !

You don't go to heaven after you die. Nor do you go to hell, Oz or Middle Earth.
You die, and that's the end.
Sorry but there is no magic candy-land after death.
