It is viewed as a duty for faithful Mormons to marry and to have as many children as they can care for so that they can provide physical bodies for other spirits to come to earth.

It is their belief that their is a pre-existence, or as a calvinst believe pedestination. Anyways, this preexistence, God has many wives who bare him children. Their is a certain number in heaven that is born, like the certain number of people that will be saved in the Jehovah witnessess. Because their is a certain number of children, they teach their men to try and get their women as barefoot and pregnant as possible so that most of the children that were in the preexistence can be born and raised in mormon families, but i came to understand it was to subjigate or keep women in the home or keep them barefoot and pregnant.

Well, I don't know about that. What I do know is that when a sealed husband and wife die they believe they continue to make spirit babies (sex in heaven) and the spirit babies go down to be born as children on their own planet. They become a god of the planet and all the people born on that planet are their spirit babies. Of course the couple must get Joseph Smith's permission first. You see the wife is just on loan to the husband.

Mormonism is a really jacked up religion. You literally have to be brainwashed and insane to believe that nonsense.

The Mormons don't really believe in the Bible. They have some other books that a guy named Joe Smith wrote in the USA in the 1800's.

The Bible doesn't teach having lots of children - and doesn't talk about children being bodies to be possessed by spirits.

That is a core belief from the beginning, taught by Joseph Smith and Brigham Young. Add into the mix as many wives as possible so they can populate....not the earth....but their own planet...when they become "gods".
Thank You Father K
STAY AWAY FROM MORMONS !!!

Okay, the only reason members of the LDS church (aka Mormons) even allowed men to have more than one wife was because during their pilgramage to Utah, many men died. So, the men that did have more than one wife, had wives that were older widows. They weren't hot babes that they could procreate with. They were older women who lost the loves of their lives. By men having more than one wife, the women did not have to be lonely. Also, male members of the LDS church do not, I repeat, DO NOT continue to marry more than one woman.
