From your question, it sound like you do fear God and love God. You're just disappointed in yourself.
Be patient with yourself. Realizing you have pride in your heart is a big step.
Jesus said, "Why are you concerned with the speck in your brother's eye when you have a log in your own?" It sounds as if you have discovered a log in your own eye.
Think about both the good and bad parts of your personality. For example, I'm intelligent and creative, but I'm also irresponsible and procrastinating. Get a balanced view of yourself, neither too self-inflating or self-deprecating.
I've heard that humility is agreeing with God about who you are. Believe that God's love for you goes higher than your greatest assets and deeper than your greatest faults. Believe that God will slowly but surely mature you over time, and deepen his love relationship with you. Work on improving, and in sharing with others, what is best about you, and on conquering, or putting in its proper place, what is bad about you.
One way you might grow humility within yourself is to, every now and then, do the sh**work that nobody likes to do. Don't turn yourself into Cinderella before the ball, but at times help out doing stuff that no one likes, or stuff you do like but won't bring you any "glory".
Peace, and God bless you!

In line with islamic teaching proud for yourself is approaching of conceiting or boasting..God hates conceiting or boasting.
You can change or manage your pride by among others :
1)please take a look to the persons who have more success than you besides you take a look to the persons whose success are below yours.
2)pray and thank to God Almighty that you have success because you have been given by God the power to do that
3)give and share your knowledge for success to others
4)love and help others who need your help by giving them some part of your wealth as the fruit of your success
5)be humble and ask for forgiveness to God Almighty that you have pride for yourself before and ask for God's guidance

Move beyond things of the world. For instance, you could try going to a Buddhist monastery (I hope that's what it's called- sorry Buddhists!). Doesn't mean you'd give up your religion by going there, for it's more of a philosophy. If you really don't like the Buddhist bit, move to an amish community for a while and try living like them.

Concentrate on God and on other people.
God is the source of all that is good in you, so you should not deny your gifts. Use them for God and others and yourself too. Ideally, you would not be thinking too much about yourself because you are occupied with God and God's creatures.
