the fact is that creationist arguments against evolution depend heavily on falsehoods, distortions, and fundamental misunderstandings of science, creationists have to do this because their position doesn't stand a chance against evolution from a rational, scientific perspective, dont get me wrong i do beleive in god this is were most creationist get some scientist view wrong, most scientist do beleive in god but not how creationist beleive how he started it all, like some christians say god works in mysterious ways, i do beleive this is just the beginning and scientist will keep getting more and more prove and soon it will be undisputable

What can I do?
I used to have such an amazing relationship with Him.
But rapidly over the past few months it's gone to nothing.
I pray and pray and it doesn't seem like He's there.
It truly makes me sick to my stomache.
Ugh.

The insistence that has arisen repeatedly in the last several minutes that Atheists believe there is no God is only half true. While there are many atheists who fit this description, this is not the definition of atheism.

Atheism is the ABSENCE of belief in any God. It means functioning in life without any such belief. Atheists can believe in humanity, in the grandeur of the universe, in love, friendship and interpersonal connections, or in natural processes. However, by definition, the only thing that binds atheists together is the LACK of belief in God.

What troubles do believers have in understanding the difference? I'm genuinely curious to know.

Christianity invented a devil (Satan) too to go alongside their God. In fact... didn't their God create the devil? Anyway...

Isn't Satan just an evil god? A lot of Christians believe in both God and the devil - that's two gods.

So... shouldn't Christianity be more so a polytheistic religion in that sense?

If God is infinitely good, what reason do we have to fear him?
If God is infinitely wise, why should we have doubts concerning our future?
If God knows all, why warn him of our needs and fatigue him with our prayers?
If God is everywhere, why erect temples to him?
If God is willing to help us because he loves us, why won’t he stop atrocities?
If God is infinitely powerful, why won’t he help his loved ones?
If God neither, has the power or the will to do anything, then why call him God?
If talk about him or her, which is one of the most absurd character of all fiction, then why do we fight over this nonsense?

I am a wiccan and I still don't understand why everyone in the entire world have to believe in one god and their god only. Why can't we all accept that people are different and may not be right for your religion, whatever religion that might be.

P.S. I don't want any nasty answer, I am serious and I want some serious answers.

Why is it that people think that they know everything but so ignorant to the world around them? Why cant people love each other for who they are and not judge. I just answered a question about why can't all the christians jews and muslims get along because we all believe in the ONE God. Very good point that, seeing as believing in God is fundamentally what religion should be about. Someone said that God teaches that we should all live in peace alongside one another and some religious person stuck the thumbs down to every single answer agreeing with him. They went on about only one faith can be correct, I can't get along with any muslim who wants me to cut my clitoris off etc etc. Surely any holy book teaches you to love thy neighbour, and to live in peace, so why the thumbs down!! religion just makes people argue about everything and they are determined to be right no matter what, no matter how much hate they come out with for another religion. So hipocritical! what's wrong with trying to be a good person, with compassion and just to believe in God, no religion, we should all be the same.

Although I don't deny Jesus was a real person, all the signs point out that he was real without a doubt, what I don't believe fully is his life story upto the part where he is crucified. My motive isn't to bash Christianity here, this is a genuine question I'm about to ask and I really want to know, hopefully it'll give me a better understanding, here goes. How does a human being like Jesus come back to life after being stabbed in the guts with spears?, I have never heard of a human being who can come back to life after being stabbed by a weapon.
