the fact is that creationist arguments against evolution depend heavily on falsehoods, distortions, and fundamental misunderstandings of science, creationists have to do this because their position doesn't stand a chance against evolution from a rational, scientific perspective, dont get me wrong i do beleive in god this is were most creationist get some scientist view wrong, most scientist do beleive in god but not how creationist beleive how he started it all, like some christians say god works in mysterious ways, i do beleive this is just the beginning and scientist will keep getting more and more prove and soon it will be undisputable

What? Whatchoo talkin' bout Willis? Sure evolution is fact, but belief is FAITH. And with faith, we shall heal all of those who dare to speak with rationality and proof, or send 'em to Hell!

P.S. Just a little side note to armygal - Hitler was a Christian. An altar boy. The Protestants and Catholics in Germany were his biggest followers. A quote: "Therefore, I am convinced that I am acting as the agent of our Creator. By fighting off the Jews, I am doing the Lord's work. Christ was the greatest early fighter in the battle against the world enemy, the Jews . . . The work that Christ started but could not finish, I--Adolf Hitler--will conclude." He wasn't big on the Serbs either.
Speaker: Adolf Hitler
Source: Mein Kampf
This one's fun too:
"My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was his fight against the Jewish poison. Today, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before the fact that it was for this that He had to shed his blood upon the Cross. As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice... And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly, it is the distress that daily grows. For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people. And when I look on my people I see them work and work and toil and labor, and at the end of the week they have only for their wages wretchedness and misery. When I go out in the morning and see these men standing in their queues and look into their pinched faces, then I believe I would be no Christian, but a very devil, if I felt no pity for them, if I did not, as did our Lord two thousand years ago, turn against those by whom today this poor people are plundered and exposed." Oh, delightful!

You can not beleive in God and evolution at the same time. And if you do beleive as you say, then you beleive in the devil too. so whats his job? shining the lenses on reflecting telescopes? Creationists should not even have to deal with science. There is no need for the complications and nonsense of science in a world that is lacking love and understanding.

> "macro-evolution is a lie and scientists have been realizing it more and more lately! "

That's a lie. I challenge you to back up that statement.

> "Karl Marx wanted to dedicate the communist manifesto to Darwin but Darwin's wife wouldn't let him.
That's a lie.

> "After Darwin's theories were published, there were books published on how best to capture, kill and preserve the bones of the aborigines in Australia (they were just animals right?)"
Humans are animals. All of them. Where does the "just" come from? Your precious church had no problem condoning slavery.

The rest of your post, armygal, contains people perverting factual information to support a moral stance, just as the bible has been perverted. It has nothing to do with evolution.

Well sir, I see it just the opposite of you. I have tons of scientific proof of a creator. More and more is being found all the time. More and more scientists are changing their whole belief systems on what they are finding..proof that we have a creator. It comes from a rational scientific perspective. I believe in my heart as time goes by, more and more scientific proof will be shown that we were made by a creator. I am college educated..I have spent lots of time studying this as I find it very fascinating. Proof of a creator is everywhere you look, but no one can make you look.

Guy, I'm on your side, but this is a lame question. Most scientists DON'T believe in God. Maybe it would be better if you didn't try to do the cause of science any favors.

Short answer, no. It's kind of funny actually.

Take for instance the people who misunderstand the meaning of the word theory, when its used in a technical or scientific sense. It doesn't mean "guess"...here's a definition for them:

the·o·ry (thē'ə-rē, thîr'ē)
n. pl. the·o·ries
A set of statements or principles devised to explain a group of facts or phenomena, especially one that has been repeatedly tested or is widely accepted and can be used to make predictions about natural phenomena.

These are the same people who accept the theory of gravity (proven) and the theory of heliocentric orbit (again, proven). This particular theory tends to frighten them, because it erodes a certain degree of their mythology.

There are a number of christians who have found a way to work evolution into the mythology they believe, and I can at least respect them to some degree...

I think you should look into the "facts" regarding evolution and you will be very surprised of your findings. I am not trying to cover up anything regarding evolution/Creation the facts are the facts macro-evolution is a lie and scientists have been realizing it more and more lately! Take a look for yourself!!!!!

Your premise is false. Evolution is NOT a fact that's why it is the theory of evolution. I doubt you have actually studied both sides of this because many scientist who have researched in the field actually come to reject evolution because of it's innumerable inconsistencies. Also do some research on chaos theory.

There are NO "hard core" facts about evolution! That's why it's still a "theory."

Out of Darwin's own mouth he disproves his theory as there is NO fossil record of transitory species. Not to mention all the facts about cell biology we know now, in Darwin's day the cell was as small as they got.

Give me one example in our lifetime of a species that has suddenly become another species. It doesn't happen.

Here's another argument against evolution. Look at the FRUIT it bears:
1. Karl Marx wanted to dedicate the communist manifesto to Darwin but Darwin's wife wouldn't let him.
2. After Darwin's theories were published, there were books published on how best to capture, kill and preserve the bones of the aborigines in Australia (they were just animals right?)
3. Social Darwinism, the brain child of Herbert Spencer, killed, mutilated and destroyed millions of people in the country and others under the guise of "survival of the fittest" something Darwin never said.
4. Eugenics: Hitler loved Darwin's theory and used it to fuel the Holocaust and racists in this country used it to claim that black people were less "evolved" than whites, per nonsense.
5. The Columbine killings were committed by two boys who wrote in their diaries "I love natural selection and getting rid of the weak."

The Theory of Evolution has done nothing but cause our society pain, grief, and harm.

Yes, I am tired of that, and I am also tired of hearing it from people who have never studied evolution and have no idea what the theory is about. I am also tired of them presenting, as evidence against the theory, cases of people who were equally ignorant as to what it was about and who twisted it to suit their own purposes. Theories, if you know anything about science, are based on FACTS, which is more than I can say for Creationism.
