After the great tribulation Jesus returns with all of his saints, the ones who have been raptured dead and the living at the time it happens(rapture). So all the saints from days of old to the days of when the rapture happens, there will be mulitudes. Jesus will also return with all of his holy angels. Also there will be people that have come to Christ during the great tribulation who will live in the millenium. Not for the whole milleniun, as they will not have reserected bodies, so they will end up dying but will live much longer than the adverage man of today. The ones who did not come to Christ during the milleniun will perish for eternity. Like I said the ones who have exepted Jesus during the tribulation after the rapture of the church, will populate the earth, as they will still be able to have children during the 1000 years, but they will be sinners. The saints who have reserected bodies cannot have children, as their bodies are eternal. And after the 1000 years All the people who have died during the 1000 year rein(the mortal bodies) and who have rejected Jesus will be pulled up from Hell with all the other dammed and judged, and then they will be cast into the lake of fire. The new Jerusalem will decend from Heaven onto the new earth, and the saints will live in it with Jesus and the Father. How awsome is that?

The belief that there will be a literal, 1000 year reign of Christ on earth following the second coming is called "Chillianism," and was condemned as heresy by the ancient Church.

Paul says that the resurrection of the dead will occur before the rapture. According to the book of Revelation, the resurrection of the dead does not occur until after the 1000 year reign of Christ.

The 1000 year reign of Christ is symbolic, and refers to the Church Age. That was the belief of the ancient Church as well as the Reformation.

True Christians will be living gloriously during the 1000 years of peace. The Jewish people will be freed of their blindness and share in the 1000 years of peace.

Utuk - You are referring to Catholic doctrine. Protestants believe otherwise: "This coming with power and great glory with his angels is well documented (Matthew 24:30-31). And that he sits on an earthly throne after this coming cannot be disproven. Right now, John saw him on a Throne in heaven. He is there as God and reigns as God on that throne. He has never ceased to be God and there has ever been a Kingdom of God in heaven. He said: Heaven is my throne and the earth is my footstool. But he also said to the Apostles his throne would be upon this earth. He brought this heavenly Kingdom to earth and he will reign here in person as the heir of David's throne in the millennial."
