Why is it that people think that they know everything but so ignorant to the world around them?

Why is it that people think that they know everything but so ignorant to the world around them? Why cant people love each other for who they are and not judge. If that were the case we would have no WAR. I which that for 2007!!! LOVE ONE ANOTHER!!!!!! No I am not a hippy. I work hard for a living..Just tired of the the BS..

Those who think that they know everything are very irritating to those of us who actually do know everything.

Believing one is right gives one a false sense of security. So the more fearful people are, the more they're willing to believe that they know everything, when of course they do not (no matter the group). Isn't there an old saying about the wise man being the one who realizes he's not wise? Or to reference a wise man I *can* name, Ben Franklin asked the men of the Constitutional Convention to each "doubt our own infallibility" just a little. It's the only way for a democracy to work, but the more frightened people are, the less they're capable of doing it--in part because we're constantly told that THE TERRORISTS are COMING for OUR FAMILIES. *sigh*

BTW, I'm not saying the terrorists are absolutely *not* coming from our families. I'm saying that we can't be sure either way, so we shouldn't live in a state of constant fear.

Would you rather Bush and the powers that be admit to loving Iraqians and still take the oil? Saying you love is not the complete answer. Another words, there are many different reasons men go to war. Lack of love is not one of them..
