I have seen so many try to justify this concept and I was wondering if there is some new book that makes this notion pivital to their belief system.

The ones who think this don't understand logical reasoning.

To "not believe" is not the same as "to believe that something is not".

Same with constantly being asked to prove a negative...it doesn't work that way.

If you believe something that is not a scientific fact (and I'm not talking about something that is made to sound scientific) then you have "faith", faith is simply a belief in something that has not yet been proved by pure knowledge. An example is science: The earth is round, 4 plus 4 equals 8 belief, faith, religion: Men are really descendents of monkeys, the universe was created by a big bang, those are all theories that require "faith" to believe, as no one NO NO ONE was actually here to witness it, nor is their any proof of it today, in life, in clinical studies, in the laboratory NO WHERE!!

Christians desire that all people are saved. They hope that none parish and not have eternal life. Christians don't try to reach or convince Atheists for the Christian's own ego trip. They do it hoping the Atheists will come to a knowledge of God and the salvation He offers. It isn't like a Christian wants to get in someones face and cause friction. They just want to show concern and try to offer help.

As a Christian I believe it takes an incredible amount of faith to be an Atheist. I have also observed that atheists are very passionate about their faith. Christians could learn something about faith from the average atheist.

Most Christians don't care what atheists believe or don't believe. They just tend to speak up when atheists call them ignorant, stupid, irrational, illogical, delluded, or weak, or when they insinuate that Christians have been dropped on their heads.

Think about it - this is the Religion and Spirituality section. If Christians are the ones with the problem, then why is it that this section is full of atheists trying to convert Christians?

Fist off, technically Atheism doesnt exist. In order to deny the existence of God you have to put in place a lie over the truth. You first have to know something about God in order to deny Him.

I could care less. But I do question why so many Atheists hang out in the R/S forum. If I was an Atheist I'd have no motivation to be here.

I don't have a hard time with it. I understand exactly why Atheists believe what they believe. I just happen to disagree.

Who cares, just don't listen to them, everybody has a right to worship what they want when they want.
