I've heard this quote..."The grace of God allows us to do what truth demands of us." What do you think about this?

Why do they keep saying that the palestinians are the 'bad guys' and the agressors and Israel is the defenders...? Don't you think it ought to be the other way around? I mean... Israel's the one conducting the ILLEGAL occupation.

do people realize that catholocism is not christianity, that in fact it is paganism disguised as christianity? read jeremiah chapters 7 and 44 for a reference.

about 5 years ago. I was in college. Some friends and I took some LSD, and wandered the campus until we ended up at the shrine. There was a girl there praying. We sat in the darkness and watched her, thinking she was there to kill herself. when she left, we went down to the shrine. It was very creepy.

Let's be rational - if there is a crime committed and there are 12 witnessess, are you going to ask 1 witness or ask the remaining 11? And if there are 3 key witnessess, (eye witnessess) might it not be a good idea to start with them since they probably have the most accurate account of what happened? Also when investigating the truth, it's common knowledge that any bias can created a distorted conclusion - so isn't it best for you to keep an open mind until you've heard all the evidence? Just wondering.

...what kind of god would you envision (if any) with only these two books to keep you company, inspire your mind, and stir your imagination?

without the influence of religious leaders, would you come to believe in an authoritarian god? a loving god? a punishing god? no god at all? are you sure?

Is that attacking it?

Let's say that there is a state, it has been a state and will continue to be a state, HOWEVER, you have someone come in and start saying that it should not be a state, it should be annexed to another state, now isnt that the one that is attacking?

Someone answered a question of mine saying christians are attacking our society, but how can we be the ones attacking when we arent wanting to change things?

Attacking got us murder in the form of abortion not the other way around ding dong!

The look on their faces was one of disgust and shock until one of them said - "you know very well that the pope does not have a wife and children". So the man said "That's right, YOU'RE too good to have a wife and kids but you say that God has a son?!?" Did anybody out there get the message???

Despite what one may think of JWs, years before WWI, they said (not prophesied) that according to the Bible, the signs of the last days and the Second Presence (or "Coming" in the final "Authorized" revision of the KJV) would begin being fulfilled. Yes, like most in Christendom, members thought that the second presence of Christ meant the start of Armageddon, rather than it being two different events. Consider that the Jews believe the same thing about the first coming of the Messiah, when it happens.

Regardless, most of Christendom now acknowledges that the signs of the last days did begin being fulfilled with the advent of WWI with wars and rumors of wars. Why did the International Bible Students see it before, and everyone else only decades later. The same happened with the League of Nations, that it would fail and be replaced.

This came about not from the views of one man, but from encouraging thousands to be reading the Bible, as a whole, and submitting their views.
