St. Cecilia's, St. Thomas More, St. Francis Xavior Cabrini, St. Robert Bellarmine, St.Gerald's, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Joan of Arc and St. Boneventure are some of the names of Catholic Churches. My parish is St. Bernadette. It seems to me that the most popular name for a Catholic Church is St. Patrick. If people took into consideration the historical impact of these people that have been the jewels of the Church, it would change lives.

Saint names (St. William, St. Patrick, St. Stephen, St. Francis)

Names for the Virgin Mary (Our Lady of Angels, Our Lady of Counsel, Our Lady of Good Grace)

Terms in the Chruch (Trinity, Nativity)

All are actual churches I've either seen or attended.

I don't understand your question or your point. But, I attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel as a child and took my Catechisms there. I also attended and was a member of St. Mary's, and also St. John's. Of course I have "heard" of many more names of churches. But, I doubt if there is enough space with Yahoo! Answers for the list.

Usually, they are named for saints, and for Mother Mary, and Jesus. St. Paul's, St. Patrick's, Child Jesus, St. John the Baptist, Mary Magdalene, St. Lucy's, Precious Blood of Christ.

Catholic Church names have a wide range from God the Father, Jesus Christ to the Saint related. As myriad as the peoples who created them.

My favorite is this: St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Phoenix, Arizona. It's my favorite because I am a Baptist Christian! lol

All churches (Catholic and otherwise) find their names from people in their past (saints, etc.).
