The grace of God empowers us to do that which God asks us to do. In other words, whatever God commands us to do, He enables us to do.

God can't allow sin into heaven. He sent his son to die for our sins even though he knew we'd still sin. We are not saved because we are good, God gave us a gift (grace) of salvation. Not of works lest anyone boast. We can't work our way into heave-only by his grace are we saved.
When the slave trader asked God to help him while at sea he wrote this song afterward.
uh hum
"Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now I'm found was blind but now I see.
’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!
Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me,
His Word my hope secures;
He will my Shield and Portion be,
As long as life endures.
Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, Who called me here below,
Will be forever mine.
When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’d first begun."

Well, the way I look at it - Grace is being given something we don't deserve, and mercy is not receiving what we do deserve. When we've been given the gift of grace, we aren't living under the burden of guilt each and every day, freeing us and allowing us to live and act as Christ commands. Imagine living each and every day under the conviction and guilt of the screwups we do each and every day - thankfully through God's grace of his son Jesus Christ we are free when we are truly sorry for our sins, and this empowers us to do what truth - God is truth - expects of us, lift the bar and live in truth.

Grace was given to us who do not deserve it at all. Grace, that the Lord gives to all of us who trust in His Son for salvation. Like the song "Amazing Grace" says because of His grace He is able to save a wretch like me. When we are saved by the grace of God, which is only given to us because of Christ's sacrifice on the Cross, I have within me the possibility to do what He asks me to do. And also to to be able to give grace to those around me,

Indeed, what is the grace of God compared to what it's not: law of God. Biblically it's all about Law vs Grace, Law OR Grace. But when it comes to Hallowed be "thy" name, it's hallowed be Grace.

The biblical Pauline Holy Kiss is about Grace:
