Every culture throughout history seemed to have their own convinient version of a God or Gods who have never been historicaly documented to do anything at all with their allmighty power.
We see death around us everyday, family friends, strangers, pets animals, carnivours feeding in the wild, is it really so hard as sad as it is to accept that we are biological being with limited spans. Do people realy need a childish fantasy of eternal happyness on a cloud to live their lives contently?

Why do you spend so much time debating something you do not believe exists? I do not believe in Buddha so I do not spend my time talking about him. Are you completely convinced that God does not exist? Another question I is have do you usually tell people that you are an Atheist? Do you do it only if the subject of religion comes up in a conversation or is it something you say right off the bat?

Which term is correct? Also, how do you pray, do you begin all your prayers praying to God, but end them by saying "in jesus name", or do you pray directly to Jesus? I'm familiar with the our father prayer, but the Word of God also says we should avoid repetitive memorized praying, and pray from our heart in faith.

ah....evidence....
Yes, God does exist. Asking for proof is folly!
Even atheists and agnostics believe things they can't prove.
Why do they make plans for tomorrow. They can't prove that the sun will rise tomorrow? Yes, it has been proven that the sun has risen every day in our past....but there is absolutely NO proof it will rise tomorrow. They just have faith that it will.
Why do they believe that they have a heart inside their body? Yes, it has been proven that humans have hearts....but have they ever seen theirs? Perhaps there is a troll inside their body squeezing a little rubber ducky to make their blood flow. They do not have proof but they have faith that they are like all other humans and have a heart.
they fight against the idea that there is a REAL God because that scares them. It would cramp their sinful lifestyles, open the question that they might have to suffer an eternity in Hell for their sins and, most importantly, make them out fools for denying God.

Was Jesus the first son, or is this just another source of confusion.

What do you guys think about the new scientific evolutionary research that theorizes that humans did not have religion until the full development of our frontal lobes? With this development we were able to conceptualize death, and therefore created a belief system to explain and give meaning to death. In other words, we created religion out of fear.

Genesis 1:27 refers to the creation of man and woman before the garden of eden.
Genesis 2:7 clearly describes the creation of Adam and the whole garden experiment
Genesis 4:16,17 has Cain moving out on his own and settling with other people - this was too early for them to have been his relatives
Jer 10:12 talks about others on Earth
Lev 18:3 states that Yahweh is not the god of these people

so what say ye now, bible thumpers?

Pagans, which gods do you worship? Are they individual choices, or is there a universal "list" (sorry for the lack of a better term) of the gods to worship?

If I'm a little off on my understanding, I apologize. I'm just going off of the answers from another question that I asked!

I mean seriously, with all of that trinity stuff, the lack of evidence, the fact that the Jews say some of the "prophecies" Jesus fulfilled were never prophecies....

2006-12-26 04:36:12 · 16 answers · asked by Anonymous

If the trinity is the true message of God - God the father, the son and the Holy Ghost why did NONE of the Prophets before Jesus (pbuh) preach it e.g Moses, Abraham etc

They all preached God was one and unlike human beings and without partners and sons as Jews and Muslims believe - so how could GOD change and suddenly have a son!!!!

has anyone ever heard of hermaphroditism, lets suppose mary was a fully functional hermaphrodite with functioning male and female sex organs, and all she had to do is masterbate the penis until ejaculation, collect the sperm and insert it into vagina,it is medically plausable so who is to say that jesus was a result of this method of impregnation, and his powers could be a result of the genetic mutation caused by this method of immaculate conception.this seems to be the only medical way of producing offspring.if you have any other theories just write them and illuminate us because the bibles theory holds no water on the bibles view of immaculate conception now does it????it is seriously flawed
