Because no one wants to be told that they are doing the wrong thing and that there are consequences for their actions. They would much rather insist that we are here for no reason at all - other than to eat, sleep, have sex, have kids, acquire materialistic things, and eventually die. That's life in a nut shell for someone who does not believe. But then you find when catastrophe strikes or when death approaches these same people call out to who.....GOD. Does a watch find itself lying on a beach in tacked, fully functioning without having been created by someone? something? So how can we insist that the human body, (one of millions of systems on the planet) just came to be with no purpose? They don't want to know because if they do, they will have to act on that knowledge

Christians have always been persecuted, look at the Romans , what they did, throwing us into the arena to be eaten of Lions, when non-believers hear this they retort nonsense about the crusades and all that , not realizing that the crusades were started in response to Saladins invasion of those nations that were Christians putting them to the sword, not realizing that without the crusades all of Europe including the vatican in Rome would be under Islamic rule even now.
But No... you cant tell a non-believer that, he doesnt want to accept it, His heart is seared against God, he will just shake His head and continue to attack.
Sad,,so sad to be so closed minded

Speaking as a non-believer, it is okay for people of faith to question my beliefs. This is a forum for the discussion and exchange of ideas and should be a place were people feel free to be open and honest. Sadly, a few trouble makers like to make fun of, or ridicule others, but for the most part I think it is okay to share your views - whatever they are. Take care.

Non believers can not believe in something they can not see so I guess they do not believe in love, wind, air etc.. Just stick to your belief you will have the last laugh but it really will not be funny for non believers. God Bless You!

It is okay. But personally, since I'm confident and satisfied with my religion, I don't have much of a reason to ask non-believers many questions.

I have been begging believers to challenge me for years, but they are incapable of doing any better than spewing Bible verses I don't believe in anyway, so how is that supposed to be a good approach? Christians need to do beter, or they'll keep getting slapped down by non-believers.

That's what I was thinking earlier today. How that, in their own opinion, many of them believe that they are "smart monkeys" walking around (smart because they don't drag their knuckles I suppose), and they want to back us into a corner because we openly proclaim the truth of God's word. How stupid is that? Show's they aren't as "evolved" as they want everyone to think.

Are you suggesting that believers don 't question?

2006-12-26 11:14:03 · answer #9 · answered by dot&carryone. 7 · 1 0

Non-believers "question" the validity of any "facts" that the believers spew forth. Believers never "question" the non-believers, they just spew forth more non supported "facts", fantasies, and just the junk that they are told to spew forth when some one actually questions them. "Question" my beliefs or the lack of but do not use some brain dead garbage to support your views. Faith is usually blind. Non-believers do not accept "blind" faith.
