I can see that i upset you with this Question. but i do have historical proof that i am right. and i have Biblical proof that God does not want us to observe any pagan holidays. this does mean both christmas and easter. thier is a day to celebrate Jesus dying for our sins that is not pagan,it is Passover. and though we do not know the true date of Jesus' birth, he would be heart broken to see his brothers and sisters mocking him with a pagan celebration. why dont you look into it for yourselves. you may find a new truth.

I would like to give my son a devotional book that he can read and share with me before he goes to bed. Does anyone do this with their kids? What books do you use? What type of Bible is best for this age?

while humans exist? It has been observed that many of the other creatures on earth share some of the same characteristics as we do. Violence, gang mentality, being territorial, greed and envy. Though they are not as advanced or intelligent as humans and it seems they can co-exist much more peacefully with each other. While humans can't, the middle east is a prime example of humans not being able to co-exist because of ridiculous religious beliefs, Africa is a continent that is a prime example of people not being able to co-exist because of ignorant tribalism. Among these, there are many other places that people cannot co-exist because of ridicolous human beliefs. This makes peace on earth hard to accomplish if not impossible to achieve. So while humans roam this earth, can there ever be true peace?

Conservative Rabbis have recently leaned in that direction.
If Christians apply the juxtaposition of the experience of contemporary times upon a reading of Scripture, doesn't Homosexuality prohibition seem to be outmoded, much like Leviticus' admonishment against tattoos, men shaving their beards or wearing garments of two different threads.
As a Christian do you view the Bible as a purveyor of "the living word".
Our constitution is a "living document" and yet attempt is made to change it by Christians. Why not scripture if you believe that scripture, as written, is against Homosexuality?

I was told that the reason they were taken down was because a Rabbi threatened legal action if a menorah was not put up as well. Since the airport workers did not have time to put up a decoration for each and every religious branch, they simply folded and took down the trees. Now the rabbi is appauled and is worried about Christian backlash against the Jewish community for being a "Grinch". What is your opinion on this?
