People who have a religion usually say they have free will- but is that really true when you see people always quoting the bible or saying they did what they did because it says so in the bible -free will should be something not done because a book tells you so--please honest Answers only no B.S please

Joseph, Mary, and every other Jew would have been celebrating Hanukkah. Why would Christians prefer pagan symbols like Santa Claus and Christmas trees to a religious symbol actually used at the time?

What if the end of the world is being brought about through global warming and global wars by people who believe it's inevitable?

If people didn't believe in religion, would we be on our way to heaven on earth, instead of hell on earth?

Many Jewish scholars and Rabbis now admit that the story of Moses, and the Passover exodus from Egypt never happened. They proclaim the story to be nothing more than a fable. What physical evidence exists today that can prove the story to be real?

Why does everyone want to remove public displays of religion. Like the "In God We Trust" on our money, pledge of alligiance, 10 commandments, etc. Years ago it was all different. Those little things meant a lot to a lot of people. Even most that it meant nothing to (non-religious, etc) understood this. So how come now everyone acts like its so wrong and offensive?

but as a Buddhist I do not. The Buddhist sees many supernatural forces in the Universe and even though Buddhists do not believe in a personified 'God' that does not make them atheists. To practice Buddhism as a 'philosophy' means it is being practiced with the intellect and not with the heart...which is OK, but do not imagine Buddhism to be the same as atheism.

Nor is the statue or thought of The Buddha being 'worshiped'. The Buddha is being honored, not worshiped. If The Buddha can reach enlightenment, then so can every human being on Earth.

Any thoughts?

I see many cut and paste answers here. Where is the true and faithfull witness to your own experience in these? Or is it that you can only mimic what you have been taught from a book and have no true witness to give of your own experience? If this be the case perhaps you should put into action what you have learned and build some experience from which to draw as your witness!

We are asked only to sing and praise GOD through our songs we r nowhere advised to use instrumental music in the new testsment …david used instruments in the old testament times but we live under a different law and we only have to follow the will of GOD matt7:21, and absolutely nothing beyond it 1cor4;6

Mechanical instrument music is NOT of faith
Faith is the word of GOD (rom10;17)
Whatsoever is not of faith is of sin (rom14:23)

It does not meet the divine standard (john4:23-24)
The proper object-GOD
The proper attitude –IN SPIRIT
The proper authority-IN TRUTH

One drop of poison added to glass of milk corrupts it just in the same way one foreign item added to the worship corrupts it so why use instruments?

If it still seems right to you ppl then tell me how and do read proverbs16:25
is instrumental music authorized in our services?

I understand that they don't like evolution because it contradicts their theology, but regardless of the evidence they don't want to believe it. But really, they are supposed to be good honest people "Thou shalt not bear false witness", yet they deliberately propagate lies about science and in particular evolution science.
