I would just think I was walking a little too close to the water.

Either that or I was delusional.

What would you think?

Last week an airport took down Christmas trees because a Rabbi wanted them to display a Menorah as well. Would it have been appropriate for the airport to display the Menorah? Would it be appropriate for a city or county to display a Menorah with their annual holiday decorations? What about a private citizen who wants to add the Menorah to their traditional holiday display? Are there special rules associated with the display of a Menorah by gentiles?

What are the basic beliefs of Paganism? To make it more clear, what are your beliefs concerning these issues (Please don't use long quotes from wiki or something, I want Pagans to answer this, BASHING WILL BE REPORTED).
- God and creation (And what are your views about evolution).
- Sin concept: Does it exist in your belief? If not, what is considered wrong in your belief system?
- Heaven and hell? Do you believe they exist? If so, who goes there (What happens to the non-Pagans)? And is there an afterlife in your beliefs? And what about The Judgment Day?
-Homosexuality: Do you see it as a normal act according to your beliefs?
-Finally: What is the difference between Paganism and Neo-paganism?

Thanx a million in advance.

If a chapter of Job says so that cant be true as earth is only 6000years old.The evolutionary history of the primates can be traced back for some 60 million years, as one of the oldest of all surviving placental mammal groupsThere were dinosaurs at that time but no humans.Lucy which was the last common descendend of man and chimpanzee lived 3 to 3.9 million years ago the dinosaurs were extinct. The dates can be fond by Radio Carbon Dating.
I dont believe earth is 6000years old.

It seems that every time you try to make a generalizing statment or claim there are always exceptions. Heck I'm sure there are exceptions to this rule.
I guess this kind of goes along with my question about compromising and taking the middle path.
Well what are your thoughts on this? Thanks for your answers.

This is an interpersonal relationship question, not directed at the relationship between God and Humans.

I have heard a lot of people urging others to "forgive and forget" wrongs done to them (robbery, rape, murder of family members, abuse, etc.). The victims, or their surviving family members, are supposed to then open their lives and homes to the offending party, without securing anything like repentence, admission of guilt or wrongdoing, an apology, etc, because to insist on that would be "unforgiving".

Does this seem insane to anybody else? Should the offer of forgiveness require some acceptance of responsibility on the part of the wrong-doer, and a decision for change? Or should it be free of all requirements?

All religions please answer. Reference your scriptures if you wish, but please no loooooooooooong quotes. I can look that stuff up myself!

Thanks!

The present Constitution of Iraq reads: "This shall be an Islam government, and the Koran the rule of the land. This flawed statement should be replaced with: "There shall be no establishment of religion, and the free exercise thereof." This proven great statement has been the basis of our religious freedom since 1776. The good people of Iraq ,also, should have pure religious freedom, a Democracy and not a Theocracy. The might power of the word ,and not bombs, should be used to prevent religious factions from waring with each other to establish their own brand of religion.

Mark 9:47
And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell.

That's just sick....

My idiot boss is livid because we wrapped all of the pictures in the office like Christmas presents. He said it is a complete insult to him as a Jew. Has anyone ever heard this? This is the same man that eats ham sandwiches for lunch everyday and says F*** every other word. He swears that covering a picture is the most insulting thing you can do to a Jew. Is he actually telling the truth (something else he doesn't do)?

Why dont we stone prostitutes in the street? Why dont we stone adulterers? Why dont we practice an eye for an eye? Why dont we follow the laws of Moses?

I know why, but from the board this morning, apparently others seem to think we advocate terror and torture and death to others, as was standard law in the OT. So clear it up for them, Why dont we?

John 1:17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
