Then why did I find my families first and last names along with my wife and I when I searched for them with my code finder program. So far I've found many amazing things.

They have already found a code in the Hebrew text that a comet will either hit the Earth or God will destroy it, but it depends on us. All Bible code is present tense so it makes it very difficult to predict the future. My code finder uses Hebrew and English. So far I have the Torah, King James Old and New Testament, War and Peace, and Moby Dick.

Well, the answer depends upon which "code finder program" you're using. If you're using a program based on the English translation of the Bible, your code finder program is useless. If, on the other hand, your program uses the Hebrew language, you may have a point.
I haven't conclusively decided whether Bible Codes are for real or not. However, I do feel VERY strongly that Bible Codes should not be used to predict the future -- this would be a form of sorcery.
Peace.
EDIT: "bc_munkee," this has been proven to be incorrect. Read this: http://www.biblecodedigest.com/page.php/119
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Bible (Torah) Codes, here's a good beginner's site: http://www.biblecodedigest.com/

The apostle Paul very clearly wrote that “all Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.” (2Â Timothy 3:16, 17) The clear and straightforward message in the Bible is not too difficult to understand or apply, but many people choose to ignore it. (Deuteronomy 30:11-14) The prophecies that are openly presented in the Bible give a solid basis for believing its inspiration. Unlike a hidden code, Bible prophecies are not arbitrary, and they do not ‘spring from any private interpretation.’—2Â Peter 1:19-21.
The apostle Peter wrote that “it was not by following artfully contrived false stories that we acquainted you with the power and presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (2Â Peter 1:16) The concept of a Bible code has its roots in Jewish mysticism, utilizing “artfully contrived” methods that obscure and distort the plain meaning of the Bible’s inspired text. The Hebrew Scriptures themselves unequivocally condemned such a mystical approach.—Deuteronomy 13:1-5; 18:9-13.

You'd find the same thing in any text long enough. Try, say, the lord of the rings, or the works of shakespeare.
Or does the program not let you choose which text to use? If so, it's a good indication it wasn't created to find a truth, but to foster a certain viewpoint.

there could be but i just stick to the word of God. Don't get too caught up in that. Often the devil will try to make people over-do themselves trying to be holier and serve God to distract them from the real purpose.
