Thank you and a very merry CHRISTmas to you too. We should celebrate Jesus every day, but there is something about the day we have chosen to celebrate His birth, isn't there?

Happy Monday.

You must be on a different calendar than the rest of us. By my calendar, today is December 11th, not the 25th.

In the Christian Church, the 4 weeks prior to Christmas are called "Advent." This is a very solemn time that is symbolic of the darkness in the world before Christ. The Advent period is a time for reflection, not celebration. I'm trying to be nice about this but I consider it ridiculous that many Christians are so dense about their religion that they honestly think Christmas starts the day after Halloween.

And yes, it irks a whole lotta people that "Merry Christmas" is a greeting used for WEEKS ahead of the actual date. Advent is NOT a "merry" time, nor is today December 25th.

Nonetheless, I wish you, and everyone, a happy Monday. My good wishes for people are not limited to those who share my religion.

And the best wishes to you and yours. I am very excited, not that I am forgetting the real meaning of Christmas, but my partner has put my presents under the tree already, and I am desperately trying to work out what they are. In fact I'm off now to have a feel and a shake whilst she is at work.

Merry Christmas x

Well done!
In spite of all today's PC nonsense, you still recognise and celebrate the true meaning of CHRISTmas.
And a happy and HOLY CHRISTmas to you.

Some people views Christmas only as an day off.
It's good that you're reminding everybody what Christmas is all about.
