At my church, they hand you a wafer (I guess it is) and then you dip it in grape juice then you eat it. Is there a certain way you should do this? I want to know I am doing it right.

"that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation." - Romans 10:9-10

I have narrowed it down to: God's infinite wisdom, kismet, fate, karma or just the way things were intended to turn out. What do you think? Who knows for sure? Is there a tangible reason?

(Genesis 6:1,2) Here we learn that during the time from the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden, until Noah's flood, some of the angels materialized fleshly human bodies and became fully involved with mankind. They became enticed with sin, and sinful desires.

"There were giants (Hebrew: Nephilim) in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the Sons of God (angels) came unto the daughters of men (humans) and they bare children to them, the mutant offspring were giants, physically and mentally superior to humans, yet they were brutish, sensual, violent and immoral, and they were all males.

Genesis 1-6. Bible believers, Angels DID become man, until the flood destroyed them. Does this make sense to anyone, and do you agree with this interpretation of the verse?

If you dont believe the Bible, and you want to spout of with some rude comment, feel free, but it will be ignored.

God, as the most powerful being, ultimately rewards or punishes based on his own whim. No one can argue with God's judgment. And ultimately, unless we show God total devotion, then God shunts us off to hell.

Why does this not indicate God is only right because he is most powerful?

I would say it is an algorithm.

A certain religion claims there is some plan but then allows for randomness within this plan. That seems strange to me (I won't say wrong or silly, just strange).

Others, I think, seem to see it as more of an equation.

How do you see it?

Where in the Bible are these ideas supported?
Does anyone in the Bible "ask Jesus into their heart"?
Is anyone said to "make a decision for Jesus"?

Why didn't Paul and Silas say such things to the jailer in Acts 16?

"and after he brought them out, he said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" They said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household." - Acts 16:30-31

I just asked another question and quoted this scripture.

It's Genesis 6:4.

"There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown."

And something caught my eye. It says the giants were on the earth before AND AFTER the flood. If they were on the earth AFTER the flood, too, then not everyone was killed by the flood which would mean that when the writer of this book (probably Moses) wrote "whole world" he may have thought that his part of the world WAS the whole world. What do you think?

Think about it, Bush would be the "emperor" trying to make his buddies rich while the humblest among us got absolutely nothing. How do you think that would go? Would Jesus be stuck in a caged "free speech zone"?

I' ve heard it said that this a possible reference to the gods in Greek mythology. Not that they were gods, but that they were beings that really existed that were not totally human either and that Greek mythology may not have been a total myth. What do you think?

The documents available to us indicate that Jesus' trial lasted all night and part of the next day. It was not a secret trial, but a trial attended by the general public, the Jewish leaders and the members of the Sanhedrin, the highest Jewish authority in
Jesus' time. This fact creates an unresolved dilemma for the Muslims who allege that the crucified one was not really Jesus but another person, perhaps Judas Iscariot. This claim is erroneous, and lacks historical proof. It does not fit into the nature of the events. Could not the crucified substitute complain loudly and vigorously during his public trial that he was not Jesus? Actually the response of the defendant when He declared that He was the Son of God was sufficient to sentence Him to death. Is it reasonable that a substitute who was mistakenly arrested would ascribe to himself so grave a claim under such circumstances? All the historical documents at our disposal do not record any remonstrance, or semi-remonstrance

In the Bible Mathew 22:24-32 says this:
[24] Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
[25] Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:
[26] Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.
[27] And last of all the woman died also.
[28] Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.
[29] Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
[30] For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
[31] But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
[32] I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
