This is something that has bugged me for a long time, but it seems to me that the more we try to legislate tolerance and respect, the less tolerant and respectful we are becoming as a society. Do you agree, or are we failing to address the real problem of education within family/school etc about a real understanding and practice of tolerance and respect?

Do you believe this is the first time in the history of our infinitely long Universe that this has ever happened? Don't you think that it might be like one of those, "we rise, we fall, we rise again," and every time we rise it's sweet, sweet, awesomeness.

I don't believe this bullsh*t. Why, according to some Christians, are we saved purely by our belief in Jesus? A God who preaches that is not a loving God.

If someone does charity work, saves lives, helps people through h*ll and high water, why should they be left to burn in some devil's bubblebath? Because they do not believe in Jesus? What if they live in a tiny village in a part of the world that has never really heard of Jesus?

Just my two cents.

It give us the answers for the questions we ask.
If we ask, "Why CAN'T that be?" It will give us all the reasons for how it can't be!
And if we ask, "How MIGHT this be?" It will give us reasons for how it might be!
"All is plain to those who understand." But it's not a matter of understanding,
as much as it is a matter of acceptence. Get your mind out of the natural, and into the spiritual. Take your scientific, religious concepts, and put them together into a logical framework.

Global warming, expanding droughts, 6.5 billion mouths to feed worldwide, escalating violence, Christianity turning against Islam, so much pain... the U.S. economy is about to bust, and when it does everyone will go nuts. It'll bring down the rest of the global economies and then that's when the real troubles begin. Am I the only one who sees this coming?

According to his PR, in the past he used to smite people all the time. But I've been ridiculing him for a long time, and working to undermine religion, and nothing has happened. I fear no thunderbolts. Don't tell me he'll get me in his own good time-- why should he let me go on doing what I'm doing, taking people away from him? Huh?

I got a nice little response to another question

"My God does do works! Every breath even ignorant people like you take is a work of God!"

Am I ignorant even though I went to Catholic school, have attended various christian churches and read the Bible? Exactly what knowledge of Christianity am I lacking?

My name is Gemma, I am 35 years old. For the past 2 years my bed ridden grandmother has lived with me, I am her full time carer, I also foster 3 children with severe behavioural issues. My youngest son I adopted when he was a baby and had been neglected. I also arrange fund raisers for terminally ill children at my local hospital.

I had a healthy upbringing and am a very happy, lively person with many friends.

I feel I am a loving, caring, good person and if I were religious I think I would be allowed in to heaven.

What do you think???

...By the way, I'm gay

Its not like i dont believe, its just i've been thinking about it a lot, and i cant find any proofs that God exist!
The bible is considered not to be more than a mere book, and after all, what proofs do we have that it was actually written like we know it [if u know..tell me please]
i know about a lot of religions and ateist too, and even though i'm still a believer there is not proofs more than my faith...what do you think?
please dont come up with those arguments that "God exist because everything is so beautiful..." or whatever...i want fundaments, i want facts...or is that we believe in something that doesnt exist?
thank u :D

I am not trying to degrade Christianity. I'm only trying to understand. With that said...

How does one physical death of limited duration and pain pay for the spiritual death of unlimited duration and pain? I don't understand, and until I can jump over this hurtle, I cannot believe in the Bible. If your could help me, you would be saving my soul!!!

Mav read in James that faith without works is dead. He said "I will show you my faith by my works"

So that leaves Mav to this question - what is 'Works'?
is it reading your bible, doing bible study, going to church, having communion, doing work in church?
Is it living your life in such a way that you show Christ through your actions?

ooooo Mav ask deep question!
