I converted to atheism, but sometimes I miss the music. Some of those composers could really put together a great piece of music! "Amazing Grace" is still one of my favorite songs, especially when done on bagpipes.

Since I've become Atheist, my extended family seemed to move away from me.

My immediate family and I are still very close, but I've rumors from the rest of the family of how I'm a worshipper of Satan and am promiscuis because it's a part of my religion. I haven't had sex in almost a year and how the hell does Satan come into play in the beliefs of Atheism??

Much worse things are happening with their own children. No one seems to care that my nine year old cousin was molested by my aunt's boyfriend. Oh no, lets all talk about the Atheist.

I converted from being a moderate Christian to being an atheist with an interest in Buddhist philosophy and there's nothing I miss about my former beliefs. I only wish I'd rejected Christianity far sooner than I did.

I converted from Messianic Judaism to Deism. The only thing I miss is the fellowship. Being Deist can be pretty lonely.

But I am glad that I have been enlightened. This far outways loneliness.

35 years ago I converted to Judaism from Christianity. I have never missed a thing. I love the closeness of my religion and it's people, and a unity that was never in Christianity.

Yes, I miss my family's respect because they don't believe the way I do. But there are also some practices that I still respect and honor in my life from my earlier denomination.

I could never quite believe in the judgmental punishing God my former faith tried to get me to believe in.

My new God cares enough about every one of us to make certain that each and every one of us makes it back home to heaven.

I don't miss the old imaginary small g god a bit.

Love and blessings Don
