And also to those who answer questions saying that God is compassionate and merciful, so after death he wil understand why.....the bad news is after death there is no more mercy...it is time for judgement. As much as he is merciful, he is also rightous. And to those who say he does not exist., the bible says," the fool says in his heart, there is no God" . I hope you all find the time to think about it while you still have the chance to do so.
God bless

I currently study with the Jehovah Witness'. As of now i not baptized yet, but plan to be in the future. I was dating this guy who is also studying for close to two years, but were told that we shouldn't be dating because it can lead to sexual immorality. We kept seeing each other anyway with a lot of guilt. What we did was get married because we knew we wanted to be together, but without guilt. Were we wrong to get married without telling anyone in the congregation or getting their consultation on it?

The little old ladies from the church down the road come try to talk to me all the time and every time I tell them it's not a good time. You'd think after 3 or 4 visits, they'd figure it out, but they haven't. If they should come back tomorrow, what can I say that will politely tell them NOT to come back? I already have a church I attend and like very much and am not interested in joining theirs. The first time they came, I told them what church I attended and they started about how my church is wrong in every way..

The life of every human is predetermined by the will of God (so the evil shall be born evil, live evil, and die evil; ditto for the sick, the righteous, and the faithful).
So in theory, those who were meant to be killed are all a part of God's plan; right? Including aborted fetuses.

Is the only thing that keeps them from committing crimes the fear of imprisonment? Is there any explanation for deeply God-Fearing people who violate the Ten Commandments?

I am not a Muslim, but I've always heard conflicting views on this issue...I've heard some people say that the religion is sexist, and I've heard others say that Islam honors women more than many of the other religions. I'm just curious to know what the Quran says about women's roles and how they should be treated, if there are any Muslims or people who know about the religion on Yahoo Answers today. Thanks in advance for your responses.

As far as I know he directly went to Heaven, so obviously his remains are not there, right? So is it just a memorial place, or does it have a special significance?

What doctrines must a person/church affirm in order to be considered a genuine christian/church and not a cult?

I'm not talking about doctrines that divide one denomination from another but doctrines that divide Christian from non-Christian.

I like to take a long drive in the country. Go on empty roads and drive slow. Let any cars behind you, pass. Observe the landscape, the trees, the wildlife, and the tranquility. Go on roads that you've never been on before. You'll discover several things. Your mind will be cleared after awhile. You'll see things that you've never seen. You'll remember what's really important in life. You'll have that much sought after thing called . . . TRANQUILITY. You'll find it's easy to pray, even while driving. And you just might find a new place for you and for others to visit. Even if that place is just the open road. Those who have done this, know what I'm talking about. Those who haven't tried.........Read this question again.

BTW. A long quiet walk works also, but do the drive if you can.

What's your best way and will you try this one ????

Seems like people who preach tolerance, aren't tolerant of people who say they are wrong. What exactly does tolerance mean to you?

2006-11-20 03:32:13 · 25 answers · asked by Anonymous

By non-vague, I mean those that could be interpretted in different way.

eg: "person A shall be cleansed" could be interpretted as person A will take a bath, that he'll be cleansed of evil, that he'll be purged in fire.

Something specific would be nice.

-- No bible quotes from Christians, please and thank you: this is a question about alternative spirituality; it is not an invitation to explain your beliefs or to proselytize. --

Obviously Christians, Jews and Muslims believe they must fear and worship / adore that which they perceive as "God". And Paganism / Wicca has gods and goddesses its practitioners regard with praise and adulation.

So which belief systems allow or postulate that there is a "God" (or gods), but does not necessarily accept the idea that God has a humanlike ego that requires praise and exaltation?
