What doctrines must a person/church affirm in order to be considered a genuine christian/church and not a cult?
I'm not talking about doctrines that divide one denomination from another but doctrines that divide Christian from non-Christian.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and He is God.
Jesus lived a sinless life, then died on the cross in our place.
Jesus rose from the dead, conquering death and sin for us.
God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, (the Trinity) is the one and only true God.
Personal relationship with God.
Live a life laid down. Strive to follow Jesus in all you do.
to william r - That's the old Jewish religion. Christianity is much simpler. Jesus fulfilled the OT law.

Christianity is a monotheisticreligion centered on Jesus of Nazareth, and on his life and teachings as presented in the New Testament.Christians believe Jesus is the Son of God and the awaited Messiah prophesied in the Old Testament, therefore they call him the Christ.
Any denomination, that accepts those things about Christ can be a Christian based religion.

The first question that must be answered is: Do they keep/do the 10 commandments of God? If they do (including the seventh day sabbath), then the next question: Do they keep feast days? If they do then they do not have a right understanding of the sacrifice of God. If they do not then the next question: Do they understand the sanctuary and its relationship with Christ? If they do then they may be the church you are looking for.

Love the Lord God above all else and your neighbor as yourself. Accept that Jesus is the Son of God and do what He and the other authors of the New Testament teaches.
