Well Slippie, its like this:
The Christian God is NOT all-forgiving.
He is forgiving ON CONDITION.
In the case of Adam & Eve, they were created perfect ....that means they had a natural inclination to co-operate with God.
To disobey Him (which they did) took effort. It was against their natural tendancy.
This is called rebellion.
Plus, it seems they never asked to be forgiven.

They were forgiving.

God the eternal Son became incarnate in Jesus Christ. Through Him all things were created, the character of God is revealed, the salvation of humanity is accomplished, and the world is judged. Forever truly God, He became also truly man, Jesus the Christ. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived and experienced temptation as a human being, but perfectly exemplified the righteousness and love of God. By His miracles He manifested God's power and was attested as God's promised Messiah. He suffered and died voluntarily on the cross for our sins and in our place, was raised from the dead, and ascended to minister in the heavenly sanctuary in our behalf. He will come again in glory for the final deliverance of His people and the restoration of all things. (John 1:1-3, 14; Col. 1:15-19; John 10:30; 14:9; Rom. 6:23; 2 Cor. 5:17-19; John 5:22; Luke 1:35; Phil. 2:5-11; Heb. 2:9-18; 1 Cor. 15:3, 4; Heb. 8:1, 2; John 14:1-3.)

They were, but that did/dose not change the consequences of their/our actions, because God can not alter His Law, we must either obtain forgiveness for breaking it or suffer the second death. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God they separated them selves from His presence and because God can not tolerate a disobedient servant, they had to be sent from Him, and they/we can only come back into His presence through a mediator, His only begotten Son, since before the creation, Jesus the Christ of God.

slippie,
Who says that He is ALL forgiving? Why can't people get this right? The only ones forgiven are those that trust Him. And Adam and Eve WERE in trust of Him after their disobedience. How could they deny God after walking and talking with Him in the garden?

Common sense people!

God informed Adam and Eve to not consume the fruit of only one tree. Did they hear? No. exchange into He meant to advantages them? No. exchange right into a manner devised that they AND we are in a position to be forgiven and bypass to Heaven? specific. that's what Jesus did for us. it relatively is as much as us to settle for what He did and stay in accordance to it. i don't be attentive to if Hitler exchange right into a Christian or not. Did his strikes instruct that he exchange into? No. like the old asserting is going..."strikes talk louder than words". Hitler could have suggested he exchange right into a Christian yet his life type exhibits that he wasn't.

That would be a superb question...if it weren't based on an entirely inaccurate premise.

What makes you think God didn't forgive adam and eve of their transgression?

Or are you confusing "consequences of one's actions" with "not being forgiven"?

They were forgiven, but there is always an Earthly price to pay. Sin and our separation from God is that price. I know "that does not seem fair". Life is not always fair now is it.

Who said they were not forgiven?

When you were a child and did something wrong, were you not punished?

God kicked them out of the Garden for disobeying. It didn't say they weren't forgiven.

He (the living God) prefers mercy over judgment. He offers mercy before judgment...some just don't accept His gift.
