I would like to give a book to a friend who is extremely interested in the Mayan Pyramids (as shown on GMA recently). Are any books available that would give info and pictures?

Time/Life publishing has one out, and National Geographic does also.

I'm not sure about a good book but the new Mel Gibson movie coming out looks like something your friend would want to see. It is called Apocolypto and is about the end of the Mayan era.
Maybe your friend would appreciate opening night tickets?!
God Bless!

There is an awesome book called "Mysteries of the Mexican Pyramids" by Peter Tompkins which has fabulous pictures and lots of very high quality information. I highly recommend it. Link: http://tinyurl.com/ureej
He also wrote one on the Great Pyramid of Egypt.
