ACTUALLY, the words nephesh and psuche should have never been translated as "soul" because it contradicts what the meaning and usage of the hebrew and greek words. Either the soul doesn't exist, or the bible is redefining the soul as mortal.

Anti Smitism? Hypocritical if..?
..you are a christian or muslim??after all monotheism is a semitic concept, Abraham, Moses, Jesus..were all semites! Mohammed was a semite, as are all arabs! Some christians are anti semitic, anti jewish, but their messiah is a jew! Weird! And they have semitic names: john, david, michael, susan, sarah etc! The earliest christian churches were all semitic, as were their followers, its not an ARYAN or European religion at all, nor a product of "western" culture. If you're anti semitic, why not give up your christian/muslim faith, make sure your name isnt semitic etc?
I am an Assyrian(semitic race) and christian by the way.

The project planned shall be a real oasis for those hapless brethren, pushed to the backyards of the society in the process of life on this planet. Further, due to the higher level of planning made in its formulation, it shall provide an opportunity for the able bodied ones amongst the orphans to go back to the society as perfect and responsible citizens due to the rich experience they gain. In short, an orphan shall not be so for a life time if he is able bodied enough. The driving force behind the project is the Sanlok philosophy which transcends the narrow concepts of caste, creed and religions and embraces the humanity as a whole.

Personally I do.

It is a bit depressing and I have tried to change but I simply cannot believe there is anything after death.

On the other hand it motivates me to enjoy this, our one and only life, to the maximum.

"Many orthodox people speak as though it were the business of sceptics to disprove received dogmas rather than of dogmatists to prove them. This is a mistake. If I were to suggest that between the Earth and Mars there is a china teapot revolving about the sun, nobody would be able to disprove my assertion provided I were careful to add that the teapot is too small to be revealed even by our most powerful telescopes. But if I were to go on to say that, since my assertion cannot be disproved, it is intolerable presumption on the part of human reason to doubt it, I should rightly be thought to be talking nonsense. If, however, the existence of such a teapot were affirmed in ancient books, taught as the sacred truth every Sunday, and instilled into the minds of children at school, hesitation to believe in its existence would become a mark of eccentricity and entitle the doubter to the attentions of the psychiatrist in an enlightened age or of the Inquisitior in an earlier time."

If we are serving God for those reason, aren't we just looking out for #1. And no wonder the rest of the unbelieving world views us as hypocrites. Shouldn't we serve God out of love for Who and what He is, for His reasons and not our own? Then we could be the people the Bible says, they will ask "Show us Who is thy God that we might serve Him also." If we dont we are every bit as fake as the atheists make us out to be.
