Happens to every great power at some time. don't worry though, not in our life times.. i hope. For all i disagree with American use of this power, frankly I'd rather have the US than the Chinese running the show.

According to the prophecy of Daniel [ Dan. 2; 31-45, The immense image, It depicted five parts. The head of Gold depicted Babylonia, the shoulders and arms of silver depicted Medo-Persia, The waist and thighs of copper depicted Greece, and the legs of iron depicted Rome. The fifth part was the feet of mixed iron and clay. It is an extension of Rome. It is the combimed Anglo-American world power. What we see today.
It is the LAST WORLD POWER BEFORE ARMAGEDDON. Certainly NOT a non-player, but through the United Nations, will actually succeed in having organised religion BANNED. When this succeeds, it will turn around and realise that one religion remains. When it tries to ban IT, it will be like someone has touched God's eyeball. [ a good description of a painful act]
(Zechariah 2:8) For this is what Jehovah of armies has said, ‘Following after [the] glory he has sent me to the nations that were despoiling YOU people; for he that is touching YOU is touching my eyeball.

Every great power falls eventually. Every empire in history has. There is no reason to believe that the United States will be any different. It's a matter of "when", not "if". Personally I think the downfall of the United States has already started.

Absolutely. After all there are a number of similarities between the two empires. Both were republics (representative democracies) rather than true democracies, both have innefective, currupt and easily bribed senates that are more concerned twith maintain thier individual power and wealth than with actually doing anything to improve thie country, and Emperor caligula of rome appointed a Horse to the senate and we have Bush (okay so he's only one particular part of the horse). So yeah there is much alike about the two.

Yes, if we ever become a democracy. right now we are a republic and barely holding it together. Democracies do nothing but fail. They have all through history and they do now. Think about it, the reason it failed in Rome was that the people in power were only the rich and only looked out for their own interests. Sounds kinda like our government today, don't you think?

Absolutely. The downfall of Rome is when Romans stopped fighting and recruited conscrips to fill the armies. When the money ran out so did the army. And the barbarians were at the gate.

If you believe in the Bible, the U.S. is not one of the major players in end times events. So it does appear that we will fall, probably due to the increasing welfare state, and losing our culture to uncontrolled immigration, and allowing everything, including our national language to be changed. We no longer have an American Culture, we are a hyphenated country. Where almost no one is simply and American anymore. There is incredible diversity, however, hardly any unity.

I think that Rome will be used by the antichrist. It has the seven hills.
I think that after the Rapture, USA will be a non-entity in terms of world performance or importance..
I believe that God will remove His Church and leave the rest to their reprobate minds.

Mav thinks that the US will fall the same way Rome did - because of internal squabbling.
