Absolutely!!!! I am a great supporter of a multi-cultural society but there have to be some rules common to all who live in that society. It is most unfair that someone comes to a country and accepts the advantages it offers (clearly such good advantages that they left their own country to come and enjoy them) and then starts complaining and demanding extra rights over and above the nationals of that country. If I were to go to live in any of the Islamic governed countries how much freedom of this nature would I be granted let alone the financial and housing benefits available in the UK?

Too soon to know. at the moment, yes but there will be others to give it a try and another case for someone to deside.

It seems rather strange to me that anyone would want to wair the veil in a western nation. I live among many nations of Muslims and rarely see anyone wearing the veil.

When I do see the veil it is most always in an area where the extremosts have control.

Smiley, she wasnt removing the veil to teach children, thats why she was suspended. She has NOW said she'd be willing to but I guess its too late!

And btw, the veil is not part of their religion, its a personal choice!

No, that's awful. It's cultural discrimination. Her culture that she grew up in and obeys says she wears a veil. She was willing to take it off as long as there were no men present. She was harrassed and forced to work in a hostile environment because she was different. And the justice is to fire the victim?

THat is not fair.

See, this article you posted gave new information. It says she was removing the face covering when she was teaching the children, but covered her face when adult males are present. That entirely changes the situation, if true. The whole issue was children being able to see her face as she taught them to speak english.
