Anti Smitism? Hypocritical if..?
..you are a christian or muslim??after all monotheism is a semitic concept, Abraham, Moses, Jesus..were all semites! Mohammed was a semite, as are all arabs! Some christians are anti semitic, anti jewish, but their messiah is a jew! Weird! And they have semitic names: john, david, michael, susan, sarah etc! The earliest christian churches were all semitic, as were their followers, its not an ARYAN or European religion at all, nor a product of "western" culture. If you're anti semitic, why not give up your christian/muslim faith, make sure your name isnt semitic etc?
I am an Assyrian(semitic race) and christian by the way.

If you are a Christian or Jew you must be Semites because Judaism and christianity is only for Jewish tribes - Children of Israel(Semites).

Non-jewish were called Gentiles which were not supposed to join these two religions until Jesus christ. But later on St.Paul started recruiting Gentile Nations (non-Semitic)like Greek, Romans and other Aryan cults in Europe.

Islam is a universal religion. Although the prophet Muhammad was descentant of Abraham and his 1st born son Ishmael(Semitic / Jews)but he invited to all races of humankind irrespective of semitic, non semitic or Gentiles and gave a slogan of universal unity and faith. He preached oneness of God - the Almighty and Lord of the universe.

Simply I can say that before Islam all the religions were meant for specific nations and tribes.

Through Islam God has united the whole humanity on Monotheism.

The word anti-Semitic is bandied around so frequently as to lose meaning. If I disagree with Israel's politics does this mean I am anti-Semitic? Jesus was a Jew, but he spoke strongly against the Jewish authorities of his time.

I agree with part of what you say, that the western world has claimed Christianity as its own invention which is clearly wrong.

You say you are a christian, so look at the bible where Jesus (born a Jew) and his disciples (mostly Jews) condemn the Jewish authorities and Roman authorities of the times.

The word Antichrist is mentioned here. Given to those who claim to know God but deny the Messiah.

Have you heard about the theory of the 10 tribes of Israel - that all of the West was descended from the children of Israel? The Jews are descended from the tribe of Judah.
We're all brothers under the skin. Only, like Joseph and his brothers, we don't always get on. Sad, but true. If I'd been Joseph's brother, I'd have chucked him int he well myself.
The reason why people are anti-Semitic is because Jews keep themselves seperate, but live in our society. They consider themselves the chosen ones and it is ths attitude that gets up people's noses. I personally don't know any anti-Semites. But I am able to recognise arrogance when I see it.

you do not understand any jews, do you? you notice a individual use the word and anticipate it somewhat is a jew, whether it always isn't. jews are consistently below attack from muslims, white supremacists, 'messianic jews' and different christian fundies, and atheists. yet as an entire, they hold their composure and try to the final option the various misconceptions that get repeated approximately them. even people who are not in any different case bigoted repeat those lies because of the fact they have substitute into so ingrained into social understanding that they are customary with out project. christians and muslims don't have very nearly the comparable point of irrational and unjustified hatred directed at them. hatred directed at christo-islamic fundies is often justified with the aid of their habit, i don't understand of a single case of a jew behaving in a fashion that justifies the hostility they get carry of on a on an prevalent basis foundation. so perhaps you recognize now that even asking a question like it somewhat is antisemitic on the grounds which you're determining to purchase into unfounded stereotypes designed to vilify jews. or perhaps you're incapable or unwilling to understand.

I'm Arab Muslim and don't hate Jewish for their religion and I don't hate Hebrews for their race. Hebrews are our cousins (as an Arab) and Judaism is closer than any other religion to Islam. But I'm against Israel politics and this does not make me anti-Semitic.

This is pure racism, who cares about Semite and antisemitism. Arabs are also Semite but don't think about it as a privilege but privileges should be just on the basis of good work. Jews of Israel are just criminals all the world see and record their crimes daily on TV and Internet.

read up on the history of the term Anti-Semite

So while its true you are a Semite the term was created, and used to decribe a "polite" way to hate Jews and was not ment for other Semites.

I'm a Christian but just came back from a week's work in Tel Aviv where I had a bloody good time. Everyone I met was very friendly. Also I didn't realise that the loony Palastinians are constantly firing rockets at Israel but this is never reported in the West.

Just to get things even clearer people should not use the term christian for the religion it is in fact Judeo Christian. Now I know I'm bound to get a backlash on this but it is semantics and not semetics in this case

I'm not anti Semitic... I'm anti-any-organised-religion... I don't have any hatred towards any religious or non-religious people or nation... so, I don't supposed, based upon that I'm hypocritical of them. But, I accept that religions are and can be hypocritical, and hence why I'm anti-any-organised-religion. Live & Let Live!
