I must ask, to follow up on an answer to my last question. I need to know if this is true.

Here's the answer, which, by the way, I've noticed lately is being used as an all-purpose answer for all kinds of questions by many users of this forum:

where is God....he's the same place he is when you banned him from schools, you've banned him from public assembles, you banned him from everything except the Church and some of you are working very hard on that.....you cant have it both ways ...if you don't ask God in a place he want be there and you can see where he not been allowed to be,all the school shootings, ball games where parents fight and kill each other in front of their own kids, the home, where people or killing each other everyday....in the government and you see whats happening there.....God blessed this country long time ago and we were a super power.....were not that super any more....God's removed himself because we've ask him to leave...so don't blame God...blame yourself

It just seems Yahoo answers has a small cult of religious types and although I'm very tollerant...

My cup runneth over on people answering some serious religious question I pose with 'God Loves You' or 'Its about faith'...

thats sounds to me like a convienient 'cover-all' answer...

Would you be satisfied as an answer if someone murdered your friend and when asked for the reason said 'because God Loves me?'

Sorry... maybe i'm just ranting... but why do they bother?!?!

Why cant they keep their beleives to themselves rather than go quoting bible passages in answers like its supposed to impress me!

I mean is it insecurity they have?

I'll make an example and leave it there, I asked why God plagues us with acne and baldness... how does that fit into Gods plan'

and out of 22 answers, 12 had 'because God Loves you' in it...

over to you maestro!...

Ok last night I came here as I have only just learned that some people refuse to accept evolution in favour of the creation story, I didnt believe that at first but I was told by a lot of people its true. I still cant wrap my head around that one but never mind. One of the answers I got said some Christians also believe the earth is 6000 years old, that one cant possibly be true can it? I mean there is proof of animals walking the earth milliions of years ago, rocks that are millions of years old, rock layers etc etc etc.... and even ancient civilizations that go back further than 6000 years.
Was he joking or is that true as well? If it is true what do those people think of dinosaurs and carbon dating etc?

Suppose we are captured by some religious militants. They ask us to deny our faith and publicy condenmed our religion. If we decline, we will be stripped completely naked before the crowd and then executed by beheading publicy. Being stripped completely naked before crowd is very embarassing for a woman.

This sound a very strange question, but this continue tickling in my head. I always wonder if this happened to me, can I bear such humiliation, naked before the crowd then lose my head, to defend my faith and religion? Am I just a coward or a courage woman? Can I as brave as lady Godiva (you know lady Godiva story?)

I accept that there is so much I do not know about everything that is.

This surrender is necessary to unlock the mysteries to ultimate true reality.

If I understood all laws of our universe I would have a clear picture of true reality. How I currently view reality is limited to my level of consciousness, thus what I understand as reality is not reality at all. Reality is based on all that is real.

...free will that 'god' gave them, to be the victims?
Did they choose which family members would die?

And if 'sin' or evil causes these tragedies, then how does 'god' justify punishing innocent people for it?

And please don't say no innocent people were lost. It's imbecilic to say that.

I have a close relative that recently got married n we are both Roman Catholics n somewhat serious about it. I brought up a sex topic up and asked,
"I know that ur inlove w/ ur husband, but u guys arn't planning to have any kids soon...so does that mean u guys arn't going to have sex for a couple of more years until you decide to have a baby?"
She replies, "No. Just because we decide to have sex without the use of birth control doesn't mean I'm going to get pregnant. Since using birth control for sex is a sin, I can go to a doctor n he can tell me what days I can have sex that will not get me pregnant without the use of condoms or the pill."
So basically, there are certain times of the month for every woman that can have unprotected sex n not get pregnant from it.
I am a little startled by this n thought that as a Catholic, you can only have sex with your spouse if you decide to have children. So is this okay for us to have unprotected marital sex, knowing it will not lead to pregnancy
